“Loved it !”

Just returned from our holiday and we loved every minute. Very clean site, lots to do for my active sporty family, loved Zumba by the pool! We hired bikes and felt totally safe letting my 8 yr old ride about on his bike. Very French but that's what you go on holiday out of the UK for. We stayed with lifestyle, great caravan best we have had. We didn't have a car, got the train from Nice airport to Frejus, beautiful cheap train ride. Public transport is great from the site so you are not stranded without a car

We stayed 14 days, the pools were great, nice camping but far to close to noisy highway which woke us up sometimes in mor nings. We were amazed by the unhealthy choice of poor, fat food offered at this site. Service was good though, clean sourroundings. Ok all in all.

This site is hectic. We have stayed on a lot larger but quieter sites. Driving in and out is like being on the dodgems. If the children were younger we would have concern about them walking around on their own. Ignore any comments about road noise, as not an issue.
Site it very clean and on-site security is good. BBQ's are now allowed. Some pitches are small and overlooked.
The pool at La Palmeraie is quieter but we went swimming at 9.30 in the morning and all the sun loungers were covered in towels with no one to be seen at the pool.
The area is very scenic with lots to see but the traffic is hectic, parking at certain times of the day was impossible. The motorways from Lyon to the coast were jammed pack - on the way home it took us 8 1/2 hours to do 280 miles - consider other options of getting there!
Would recommend Lifestyle holidays, cheaper and good quality clean mobiles.
We will only go back outside of August as just far too busy

We have just returned from a 10 day stay with Keycamp. We booked a Prestige mobile home and were very impressed. The home was cleans dn well equipped. We had a deck and air con which was a godsend as the temperature was in the early 30's. we arrived earlier than our scheduled check in of 3pm after an 11 hour drive, we were all tired and the kids were fed up. The staff who greeted us were friendly and helpful and made a fuss of the kids which cheered them up. They allowed us to check in early and showed us to our mobile home. We were able to park outside which was helpful. The air con had been left on for us which was a nice touch.

The site itself was clean and the pool area was great. The pools were cleaned daily (we cold see the little machine in the pool every night) the toddler pool was great and my little one loved it. The daily aqua aerobics and Zumba by the pool were fun and really lifted the atmosphere. They pools were very busy and getting a sun lounger meant queuing early before the pools opened. The lifeguards wer also very hot on removing towels from sun loungers were people had jus left them assuming they could come back later and keep the lounger. My husband was at the pool every morning at 8:30 and stayed there with the loungers until me and kids arrived.

We stayed in the middle of the site and found it nice and quiet. We were in a row full of English people, not sure if this is deliberate or not, but it meant our kids played out with others. I wouldn't be happy letting my kids go any further than outside our home as the site was very big and cars were constant through it all day.

All 3 of my kids aged 10, 6 and 4, all went to the Keycamp kids clubs and enjoyed them. They were well run and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

My downsides and critics of the holiday: the toilets on the site were revolting! They are unisex so the men's urinals are opposite the cubicles, something my girls didn't like, they saw far more than they should have to at their age!!! T
Some cubicles had doors hanging off and the floors were wet and dirty.

The site could definitely do more in the evening. The site itself was incredibly busy and I felt they were skiing a trick. I think they woul attract more business to their bars and restaurants if they offered decent evening entertainment, they have the space it just wasn't put to any use. The ampitheatre had a few shows, be being the magic show which my kids enjoyed, the star show, however, was embarrassing we left halfway through.

We had a few issues with our home, the whebpnever we switched the dishwasher on it tripped out the electrics which we had to be restarted each time, boiler stopped working after 1 shower and we had to wait 10 mins for it to reset before we could fire it up again so shower time after the pool too a very long time. We told Keycamp about the issues and they helped out every time. They showed us how to reset the electrics and boiler and said they had reported it to maintenance. It still wasn't fixed when we left. Our car broke down on the fourth day and the Keycamp couriers said not to call the recovery van they would see what they could do. They called the on site maintenance who arrived after half an hour and fixed our car with no charge!!

The onsite shop is expensive but well stocked and baked goods are fresh and tasty. We ended shopping there most days as the supermarket was a good 15 min drive away and quite frankly, so busy my stress level hit the roof!!

I would recommend the beach at St Aygulf which was about a 15-20min drive away and very clean and quiet. Frejus centre was pretty and a joy to shop in. We drove to Monaco which we loved and also spent the evening in St Tropez which is not to be missed. I would recommend the little Italian restaurant in Place de Lices for great food at reasonable prices.

All in all we had a great holiday and would consider visiting again.

Booked 3 bed Vivaldi Riviera with Thomson Alfresco. Rep very helpful when we got there. Paid for air con which was a life saver as temp in low 30s. Site is large and the pool complexes are clean and tidy. Did get extremely busy and you have to be prepared to queue before it opens to get a sun lounger as there are not nearly enough. People were putting towels on a few beds to reserve them and I never saw the staff move them if the beds were not being used, even when people had obviously gone away for lunch. I would suggest that, if you have room, take your own sun loungers or lilos as there didn't seem to be any problem with people taking these into pool areas to use. Also, the brochure said that men had to wear lycra swimwear which is not the case so no need to take the budgie-smugglers. The brochure also states that bbqs aren't allowed on the site which is also not the case for the mobile homes. Site is great for kids and teenagers. Couldn't imagine going here without kids as they are everywhere and very noisy! Shop is adequately stocked for everyday needs but a bit pricey. There is a Carrefour and Lidl in Frejus. Never ate on the site so can't comment. The mobile home was well equipped although wish I had taken a few more of my own cooking utensils. The bench in the seating area is made of a particularly odd faux leather material so recommend you take something to cover it or you have to peel yourself off it! DO NOT try to swing a cat in the main bedroom, it's not possible. Other than that, we thought it was a fairly comfortable home from home. If you have never been to the area before I can highly recommend trips to Monaco and The Gorge Du Verdon. Travel through Cannes to Monaco and make a day of it at the Gorge. Be warned though that the drive to and through the Gorge is quite windy, with very steep drops at either side. The roads are good though. Stop off at Mons for breathtaking views. Grasse is also worth a visit. We were disappointed with St Tropez though and should have stopped in the town before, St Maxime. We were VERY disappointed with Aqualand in Frejus. Small, too busy and quite tatty. the kids queued for an hour or more for each water slide. The French are fairly mental drivers and be very careful on roundabouts as they don't always give way. I would recommend this site but this part of France is mad busy in the summer and quite expensive. I wouldn't go back (it's a big world with far too much still to see) but am really glad I went.

Just returned from a week's holiday at La baume. What can I say but brilliant. Site very clean and tidy. Stayed with lifestyle holidays in a 2 bed mobile home. This was big enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Arrived at 9.30pm and met by reps Josh and Rachel who were very friendly and helpful the whole stay nothing too much trouble (even helped carry suitcases). Site had everything you need and was reasonably priced. Swimming pools excellent the only issue was not enough sun beds but that is to be expected with so many campers. Many people put their towels on beds at 9am when pool opened but the lifeguards are very good at monitoring this and did remove the towels if no one was seen to be using them. Site was not noisy as a lot of reviews have reported and motorway was not busy enough to be heard during the evening. Entertainment every night with was fun. Yes it was all in French but that was the fun of it after all we are in France. There is a bus that goes to frejus outside camp site which is only 1 euro 10 each way. It stops at the local Lidl's to stock up on shopping but check the return times of the bus because it could be over an hour before it returns. There are approx 10 buses a day right up to midnight so you can go to Frejus town at night for a meal if you wish. Bus drivers very friendly. We eat at the Palmeraie restaurant most nights. We found this very reasonable but the drinks could be expensive so we usually shared a bottle of rather good red wine for 1 euro 80 from supermarket on site before we went out and then had table water with our meal which came in a nice cold glass bottle which was not charge for.

You can get a bus from Frejus Town bus station to Nice airport but unfortunately we missed it as the lady on reception at the camp site gave us the incorrect times so always check yourself. The bus station is open 3 days a week for advice. We had to get a taxi in the end which cost double what the bus would of cost at 130 euro's.

Be aware Saturday is normally a day of rest so trains do not always run regularly on this day as we found out.

Suggest a trip to Monaco. We took the train from Frejus which was very easy with one change at either Cannes or Nice. Lovely day out and the Palace has fantastic views of Monaco.

Camp site is very easy to get to from Nice airport and a great base to explore the Cote D'Azur.

Before we went we were worried that we would be stuck without a car but our advice is you definitely do not need a car as public transport to available locally whether it be by bus or train.

Do not waste money on visiting the amphitheatre in Frejus as it has all been modernised ready for live shows so just a glorified modern theatre.

Definitely would return if ever going to visit France again.

Room Tip: We stayed in plot 680 with lifestyle very good
