Overall wonderful experience! Very professional staff. Reception girls are extremely good in providing high level service, friendly and helpful in any case. Receptionist Morgan just born to serve people and have the greatest professional skills ever! All Concierge staff is the best i have ever seen. Night Auditors caring and friendly. Most important that all staff is very well trained, they do care of them guest and make them feel like at home. This hotel has everything to provide high level service and you also feel safe and secure. Who loves French riviera holidays AC hotel Ambasador is located in most convenient, lovely town Juan-les-Pins next to Antibes. This place has something about it you wish to come back again and again!

Room Tip: My advice to chose-top floor or facing garden or pool rooms

Spent 3 great nights here earlier this month and must say its a great hotel in a great location! Nice clean modern rooms, good facilities (expensive bar!), but so close to all the action. Tip: don't get breakfast here there are loads of other places nearby with much nicer, authentic, better value for money breakfasts.

Room Tip: Not near the lifts!!

Nice located hotel in JLP. The hotel has both an indoor and outdoor (heated) swining pool and has a small fitness room/area next to the indoor swiming pool. Bar and restaurant too, which I didn't visit. Plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby and a quite new Casino supermarket is a neighbour. It's only a few minutes walk down to the beach. I like JLP, it's small, very nice and close to Antibes, Nice and other villages. Ambassadeus is also near the Casino in JLP, if you're the gambling type :)

Ambassadeur is both for business and leisure travelers.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the outdoor pool, very nice! :) Could be a bit loud though during the eventing...

Dear RubyRed74,
Thank you very much for your nice comments. Always a pleasure for the team to read some positive comments. In fact our facilities are very nice and location is superbe to discover Juan les Pins or Antibes medieval city.
As you've experience, Hotel is surounded by lots of restaurant, shops, and pedestrian streets leading to our private sandy beach and restaurant.

Looking forward to welcome you back.
Kind regards,

I drove to this Hotel and was greeted with..., well no-one actually, and I had to go to Reception to request some assistance with our Luggage. There was no Valet parking and the parking driveways were the thinnest pieces of roadway I have experienced in a parking building. The receptionist took pleasure in announcing that we were to be given an upgrade because of a Marriott Membership Card and the room was sort of ok, except the bed had one of those discount store mattresses, the entire floor covering was a cheap linoleum and the bathroom was nearly as small as the bathroom one would find in a European Railway Four Seasons Hotel. The room had a mini-bar, but no coffee machine...not even an electric jug to boil water and no coffee or tea sachets. We ordered room service, and what was advertised or written on the Room Service Menu. For instance a "Vegetable Soup" was a cheap pumpkin soup, and a bottle of sparkling water was delivered however am still waiting for Room Service in a subsequent call to bring a bottle opener...unless I am expected to open the bottle with my teeth. When I booked using my Marriott membership I requested a room on a low floor, but got the opposite...was given the highest floor. Also requested extra bath towels, but no...obviously too difficult. The staff at AC Hotel Ambassadeur obviously believe the Hotel is better than it actually is and as a result, I cannot recommend this Marriott offering in Juan les Pins, Antibes on the French Riviera. My suggestion would be save your money and book into the IBIS Styles Le Cannet in Cannes, grab a train to Juan les Pins spend the looking around and then get back to the Ibis Styles.

Room Tip: If you want a good room, go to another hotel.

Dear Honey and Paul,

Thank you very much for your comments. AC hotels are part of the Marriott family and are considered as limited service hotels which represent the equipment and service you've experienced during your stay in accordance with your rate paid. If you would like to have a full service Marriott, please use our more deluxe brands such as JW Marriott which carry the type of services you were expected but at a higher premium rate.

Regarding your room attribution, we were running full occupancy so unfortunately we coul'dnt give you choice of rooms unfortunately.

Regarding the parking, it fits regular full 4 door categories and I recommend you use adjacent parking if you're dring a large 4x4 type car.

I would be very happy to welcome you back in our hotel and take good care of you to show you our appreciation for your business.
Kind regards,
Charles Richez

Stayed for 4 nights end May early June 2014.

Prior to arrival I requested a quiet room on a high floor got exactly the type of room I requested. Room clean and spacious.

All the reception staff extremely helpful and spoke very good English. Couldn’t fault them, well done.

Breakfast well presented, not the full spread you would expect in a good English hotel but it’s a continental hotel. No complaints.

Overall I found the hotel to be what you would expect of a 4 star establishment.

I will be staying again

Room Tip: High floor overlooking the swimming pool

First of all -- rooms are small. However, they have a balcony that has no view of anything. The two twin beds were actually very comfortable. They have flat screen cable tvs. Weird showers. They have a private beach with a restaurant walking distance from the hotel. Food was okay -- nothing special.

Pool area -- large, but pretty barren and the building does block the sun at times. They also had a small indoor pool.
Workout area: almost all the equipment wasn't working
Location: walking distance to the train station and to Juan Les Pin. You can catch a daytime trains to Antibes or Cannes. You can also walk to Antibes. Trains end about 11:30pm -- so any late night stuff, you'll be cabbing it.

Maid knocked too early.

I had the breakfast buffet which included in my price. Eggs (scrambled in a runny soft style), bacon, croissants, the chocolate pastries that the french love for breakfast, yogurt, fruit salad, -- pretty standard.

The Wifi was free, but that is probably part of the my package as well.

There is a small bar inside, pretty empty. 12 EU for a Jameson on the rocks.

During the Cannes Film Festival, they had two daily shuttles to Cannes and two back. All were at very inconvenient times (10am and then noon outbound). It's about a 30 - 40 EU cab ride to Cannes (depending on how criminal the cab driver is). There is a taxi stand near the hotel, but it's hit a miss on cabs. DON"T HAVE THE HOTEL CALL YOU A CAB! The will call a private limo service which will be double.

One weird thing that happened. There was a gun battle outside the hotel at 5am on the Monday AM I stayed there. I heard loud voices shouting and then about 20 shots. I asked what happened to the front desk person, and they seem to blow it off.

Dear Chrissypoo,

Thank you very much for your comments. Always a pleasure to read positive remarks about our facilities and my team is very proud to give the best service they can everyday.
I'm sorry about the work out equipments and they are now fixed for your information.
Juan les pins is only 10 km from Cannes and to help this year, we have decided to put a shutle service with 2 rotations in the morning and 2 at night. This was a complimentary service and I'm sorry to read that you didn't enjoy this added value at no cost for you.

Regarding maid service, please use the do not distub next time if you want to sleep longer.

Regarding breakfast, AC hotels are part of the limited service hotels from the Marriott family and we recieve good comments regularly in line with this expected level.

Regarding the 20 shots, I'm more than surprise to read this as we didn't hear any complains or remarks from any body else and as you've notice, hotel is in the middle of a residential area. So if real shots would have been done, police would have known right away. For sure some fireworks were shot as we are in a very festive part of the cote d'azur during the cannes film festival.

Kind regards,
Charles Richez

We stayed here for 5 nights in a side room and therefore the view was somewhat restricted and was immediately over the entrance road. There was some noise intrusion from delivery vehicles but this wasn't too much of an issue except when sitting on the balcony. The room itself was very comfortable, especially the bed. The en-suite also had a large walk in shower which gave an excellent shower. It was disappointing that a hotel of this calibre did not have Wi-Fi in the room unless you paid for it (15 Euros for 24 hours). The breakfast was varied and very good quality. My main, and only real issue with the hotel was that the TV was listed as having 32 channels or so but 14 of them didn't work and there was no Sport channel at all. I spoke to the front desk but all they said was they couldn't do anything and whilst I appreciate not everyone wants to watch TV, in a hotel of this calibre the listed channels should be available.
The position of the hotel is perfect and only a short walk into the bustling town centre where there are numerous different restaurants, bars and shops and the beach front is less than a 10 minute walk away.
