The hotel is warm and inviting with a cool modern edge the owner is an avid art lover and has acquired some lovely pieces which are on display throughout the hotel for you to enjoy. The staff are very pleasant and go out of there way to help. The new pool is very nice and we can't wait to see the new bathrooms next season. Good choice of breakfast too. If your lucky enough to have a room with a sea view as we did the views are amazing.

What a stunning hotel! Very French in style with the rooms decorated in white and pale blue. Our balcony overlooked the marina which was right out of a picture book. The staff are all SO nice and unpretentious. The pool was absolutely lovely and the pool towels are the best towels I have ever had in any hotel. We LOVED our stay. Oh and the chef makes darling little French patisserie every day which magically appear on your pillow! Beat that!

On arrival - we found that the swimming pool was under construction and half of the size it was last year. The bedrooms opposite ours hadn't been built and there was one poor lady serving breakfast to all the guests - all in all it was diabolical and we refused to pay !!

First of all we wish to apologies for any inconvenience caused wich is much regretted. Indeed, the renovation is on at present along with some unexpected further delais in achieving it. For your information our swimming pool will be ready in a week time.

What impressed us most about the hotel is the art work which is beautifully displayed. One can see that the hotel is still being renovated in that our bathroom did not have a toilet roll holder, a towel rail, a shower attachment on the wall or hooks for gowns and that the pool area and side of the hotel were all being worked on. However, its location is excellent for walking into Cannes (just over an hour) without having the crowds of a larger town to contend with. The view from the restaurant and the front rooms is also stunning. We liked the decor especially the clever painting of the radiators and the entrance and lounge area. The beds were comfortable and the towels were white and fluffy with robes and slippers in the wardrobe which I always appreciate. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed at midday and it would have been nice in those circumstances to have had some tea/coffee making facilities somewhere in the hotel.

Dear M. Charles,
thank'you very much for posting your comments on our property and following your recent stay.
You are fully right as we haim to be an Art Hôtel and everything is being done with a perfect and impressive taste. This is only the beginning.
Indeed, this coming winter we will undergoing a full renovation of our bathrooms but I will make sure these small details will not welcome you again on your next stay if before that date.
Our restaurant is for the time being closed for lunch from Monday to Saturday and we usually invite our guests to lunch in our second restaurant wich name is l'Arbre Jaune situated at our Riviera Golf de Barbossi 10 minutes car away.More casual with a different food concept the restaurant is overlooking the Esterel massif. A unique experience! I do apologies if you were not aware of this as well as that drinks are served at any time at our bar.
We certainly look forward to welcoming you back in a not too distant future.

While expensive everything is good about L'Ermitage du Riou. When staying there you know you are in a real French hotel (though I think the current owner is not French) The staff are welcoming efficient and very helpful. Our room was quirky nice and different. What was unusual was the bathroom which was actually larger than the bedroom. The beds, bed linen,pillows towels and toiletries were all excellent. The service to the room was also very good. Watch out for the mini bar it is very expensive. I would go back and would recommend it to friends. The swimming pool while small is very good and we had it all to ourselves

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony. They are small but the views are great

You are right, the French caracter is being kept. We have stayed here for many years for summer hols and long weekend breaks, but not for the last 4 years as I refused to go again until it had been updated. Shabby chic had been taken too far! The hotel was in need of TLC and major investment. Delighted to say its finally been updated by the new owners to a good standard, mixed with the lovely and not so lovely older pieces of furniture in the bedrooms. Great, comfortable beds, stylish rooms, contemporary terrace loungers and an updated contemporary pool area that is well done. New bathrooms to follow soon apparently; the quaint French bathrooms which were full of character are well past their sell by date. Outside the hotel needs painting. The whole area seems to have had a bit of an upgrade, including our favourite beach club Le Sweet, which is great. Am delighted to say that the hotel has retained its magic, good service and great breakfasts. We we will definitely return with our three young children. A great place to stay and only twenty minutes from the glitz of Cannes. Wouldn't pay the advertised rates as very expensive, but they did us a good price for high season in our favourite family room.

We were in Napoule for a wedding and spent 6 days in this hotel. Our son and his baby joined us for 4 days.
This a a people place where everybody is there to make your stay a success. And it was. The front desk, concierge  and pool people were charming and most helpful.
The rooms are clean comfortable and well appointed with constant service to ensure they are tidy and one has an adequate supply of towels etc. Wifi works as does the free valet parking.
Any request large or small is immediately catered to. Specifically my wife sprained her ankle and the staff ensured she had a constant supply of ice.
There is a charming elegance to the public areas with interesting art.
The pool is super plenty of towels.
An added bonus is its superb location, near the beach golf course shopping and restaurants with pleasant rural walks nearby.
I can find no criticism only praise and would recommend it without hesitation as offering first class service accommodation and value, vastly superior to the Pullman which we visited.
