We had a great holiday here with 3 small children. The apartments are small but clean and well equipped (lots of towels, dressing gowns, toiletries, a kitchen pack etc) with very comfy beds. We were not expecting luxury as it is very good value for money, but really were impressed with the quality of the apartment. The complex is very well maintained with beautiful gardens and a sparkling and immaculately cleaned pool.
The staff are all very friendly and welcoming with perfect English on reception. The only thing that wasn't great was that the restarant had only a very small menu ( pizzas and burgers) but we were there just before the start of the summer season so I'm guessing this improves in July/August.
All in all a superb value for money apartment in a fantastic location (walk to beach, bars, restaurants etc) and most importantly our kids LOVED the pools!

The hotel is pretty and situated perfectly for trips to Cannes, Monaco, Nice and all the smaller towns. There are so many places to visit. You can relax by the swimmingpool or go for a walk in the area. It is situated by the river Siagne and it is so nice to sit and watch the boats come by if you have an appartement by the river.

Room Tip: Try to get an appartement with a look over the river it is amasing.

We booked this holiday accommodation through the Hoseasons website as it mentioned that the Villa's had been refurbished for the 2013 season and the there was a gym on site - something that is important to our 14 year old son.

On arrival at the complex it was apparent that although some of the apartments had been refurbished that parts of the complex were very tired and run down. The building overlooking the pool looked abandoned with flaking paint and peeling walls. Despite being stated on the website there was no gym on site.

Our apartment did look like it had been refurbished recently and to a reasonable standard. On the plus side our apartment did overlook the river and marina which was very pleasant. However, this was significantly outweighed by the negatives. Firstly, the bedroom was incredibly small being only a foot longer and wider than the bed! The light switch was in the headboard which meant that everytime the pillow moved the light turned on! Secondly, the balcony was tiny with barley sufficient room to fit the four of us around the basic plastic picnic table and chairs that were provided. Our apartment was located on the second floor of the building. On most nights the lights on the external stairways and walkways were not turned on, which was less than ideal from both a security and safety perspective.

With regards to the staff, one receptionist we spoke to was very nice and understanding and stated that many people complain at the lack of space in the apartments. She offered to find us alternative accommodation, but all she could offer was an apartment 30 minutes away that wasn't air conditioned and didn't have a gym either - for this they wanted to charge us an additional 500Euro! We arrived quite late on our first evening and when my wife enquired if we could get some food from the bar, she was told by a very rude member of the bar staff that this wasn't possible and that there was nowhere near where we could get food either. Obviously he had forgotten the bar that was open just outside the complex!!

The hidden charges weren't a welcome surprise either. Firstly, we had to pay extra for our beds to be made up on arrival, extra for towels and a further 40Euro to use the safe in the apartment. The final kick came upon departure when we were presented with a bill for 160Euro for parking our car in the complex.

We definitely would return the La Napoule area, but under no circumstances would we stay in this complex again.

Room Tip: If you really have to stay here then get a room overlooking the river and marina and away from the reception area.

We stayed in June 2013 and very much enjoyed our visit. The village itself is very pretty and immaculately maintained. The pool area was great too plenty of sun chairs and lovely temperature. The resort was quite quiet because the entertainment and children's clubs only start in July which we didn't realise but that wasn't a major issue for us. We stayed in a VIP appartment which was very nice and clean and new.

The negatives about the place was Wifi which was very slow. Parking was extra but we knew that in advance. The bus to Cannes was a bit of a walk away and the train station too so a car was handy for getting around.

Possibly overpriced owing to Cannes proximity. For the overall price, you're better off renting a villa. Anyway, bienvenue a Pierre & Vacances. Here we go...

INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:
======================
Rude & surly front desk staff (welcome to France)
Make your own beds upon arrival
Strip your own beds upon check-out
Meagre playground (1 tiny seesaw, 2 playhouses) which is not floodlit
Large but unsupervised swimming pool
2 ping pong tables
Basketball court
Pétanque
River view
Themed shows nightly (shockingly amateur quality)
Bar closes at 11 p.m. sharp regardless of the number of clients present
Loud techno or themed music until midnight (the only 2 bedroom appartments are the closest to the noise)
800 m walk to crowded PUBLIC beach

NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:
==========================
Guaranteed parking space EUR 40.-/week
Safe Key EUR 20.-/week (non refundable)
WiFi access EUR 10.- to 20.-/week
Air conditioning unit EUR 80.-/week (through 3rd party supplier)
Kids' activities EUR 20.-/session/child or EUR 150.-/child/all week
Breakfast EUR 11.-/meal
Uninspiring & meagre lunch/dinner buffet EUR 27.-/meal
Fresh mid-week towels EUR 9.-/set

On the whole quite a shocking low-end non-inclusive resort, run by the french who do not seem to pay attention to the small details;

The bar had no draft beer on the first night (Saturday), then no beer at all (Sunday), bar is restocked on Fridays only!
The waiters are in no hurry to restock the food buffet.
Changeover cleaning crew started at 5h45 a.m. on morning of departure, merci beaucoup!
It is best treated as rented accommodation, and to either eat out or do your own cooking (there is a giant supermarket within short driving distance).
It is a shame that although some staff are friendly, none have received any training in customer relations!
We have heard that Pierre & Vacances are in poor financial condition and that their resorts are being purchased one by one by a russian...

Adieu, Pierre & Vacances. Never again!
