Practical accommodation - perfect for people who need a comfy base close to fabulous places. Loved Menton - one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited - loved Italy and going Monte Carlo v special.
Stayed here for 10 days - family of 4
Close to the sea and public transport (nearest train station Carnoles 5 mins). Meant we could visit Italy and the rest of France easily. Went Aquasplash water park on day trip - train was 31 euros for family of 4. Some trains stop at Biot - couple of mins walk away from park. The appartment even had Tupperware for our baguettes - ideal. Great day out!
Ventimiglia in Italy is a great place to go. 6€ each return. Friday it’s very busy as it’s market day but a fantastic bustling outdoor market with loads of bags, shoes, clothes etc. We particularly loved it here.
Small supermarket next door for convenience. Bigger supermarket 5 mins away.
The old town of Menton is about 15 mins walk along the seafront. Loads of bars and great restaurants along the way offering specials. It’s picture postcard beautiful and just enough of a buzz about the place. Best place for breakfast is strangely next to Macdonald’s in the old town ( pic below) The pastries are unreal.
If you want to eat locally there are other pizzarias and a couple of great restaurants on the seafront.
Chairs and parasols for the beach were great. Locals swim early morning right through the day and even when it’s dark. Easy to join in as the sea is so close.
Suggestion to have another fan in the lounge in the hotter months. Other than that all great. Kitchen was small but very well equipped. Perfect for a break away.
The apartment was well equipped and had a lovely balcony with sea views. There was a selection of shops and the seafront nearby. We enjoyed walking along the seafront to the centre of Menton and there a regular bus service into the centre which we sometimes used. Menton is a delightful place for a holiday. It was very handy to have a train station just a short walk away, which made it easy to visit other places on the Riviera throughout our stay. The owner and housekeeper were most helpful and we would be happy to stay at the apartment again.
The apartment is well furnished with comfortable sofa and dining table and chairs. The living room leads on to a good sized balcony with distant sea views. The owner has obviously taken heed of the comments about the lack of English TV channels as there are some now. The main bedroom is rather small though the bed is large and comfortable. The bathroom needs some TLC and the kitchen is tiny.
The apartment is very well equipped - there are even chairs etc for the beach.
The main problem, visiting in July as we did, is the lack of air con in the bedroom. It is absolutely necessary as the bedroom backs on to a very busy, noisy main road - so opening the window is not an option. There is a fan available but that doesn't the cool the air at all!
Location was good, train and bus close by.
The beds were not at all comfortable. Drainage in the shower was poor.
The television was not giving us any stations...
Lovely light and spacious accommodation on third floor. Balcony with sea view is a bonus. Location perfect with easy access to airport express bus, 100 bus and local train station. Comfortable beds and good shower. Thanks to Adam and Micaela for help with booking and arrangements on arrival / departure. It would have been useful to have some type written notes on using appliances etc (we couldn't get TV to work and front door locks take some getting used to) but this did not detract from a wonderful holiday. Hope to return.
My sister and I really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is clean and comfortable and very convenient to explore the riviera. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need. We were disappointed as we could not get the English channels as we usually like to watch English TV. Michaela could not locate them either.
This was the only downside.
I would like to return next year and stay longer as we loved our stay and hope to get the English channels then.
Thank you Abdullah.
