Un endroit calme et relaxte, un petit resto romantique, tables rondes.
Flowers on the table. You can chose out of 4 courses, all of them freshly cooked. We tried some mentonnais fries and chopped vegetables. Delicious!

This little restaurant is placed among several big machines serving typical tourist food. The place itself does not indicate the qualities: a short but well thought menu, changing frequently and just written on a board. Just room for 12-15 guests. The service is nice, the food is good and you just feel you have made the right choice when sitting there, looking on the other places around.
One thing, they accept cash only.

La Mandragore offers a limited daily menu of really good local food. The dish of the day is around 14.5 euros but for another 2 euros you can have a pudding and coffee - both to the same high standard which offers excellent value for money.

Authentic local food is, in our experience, quite hard to find in the this part of the Cote d'Azur but La Mandragore offers quality, local dishes to a very high standard. Daily specials include Aioli (Friday - salt cod, vegetables, egg and garlic mayonnaise aka ailoi), fried stuffed courgette flowers and pies. In addition they offer salads, carpaccio and similar. Everything we have eaten there has been delicious. Puddings include tarte tatin and lemon meringue tarte are also delicious.

The food is freshly prepared and if you have the dish of the day it is delivered to you by the chef. The staff/owners are very friendly and the setting is charming.

The experience is quite quirky and service is leisurely, allow 2 hours for lunch, pudding and coffee.

We highly recommend it.
