My husband and I visited here on a Sunday evening. There was just chef and a very helpful professional waiter at work. You can sit outside to eat but if you pick the right table you can see chef busy at work in the kitchen.
We had the degustation menu which at 45 euros is very good value. There was plenty of care in presentation and cooking. In terms of choosing wine, the list is not extensive but it is chosen to match the food being served and so, if asked, the waiter can assist in you in finding the right choice. This is what we did and our wine was perfectly matched.
I think the chef could raise his level, he is clearly talented, but then you would not be paying 45 euros for a degustation menu. The front of house experience is also excellent. I find it hard to enjoy my food if the service is not good but here it is matched with the quality of the kitchen. They have struck a sensible balance for the location of the restaurant, the number of staff working there and the size of it.
