“Great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2014

What a location, one street away from the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean, easy walk to the centre of town, plenty of restaurants to choose from and great value for money. Monaco is only a 20 minute drive and you can indulge your self in what the rich and famous see and do. There is no less opportunity to see and do the same at a fraction of the cost in Menton as the hotel is inexpansive to stay and the cost of meals are reasonable. The hotel is well appointed and our bath room was an excellent size with good water pressure.
Weather was excellent, street entertainment was a pleasant surprise at night and a great atmosphere to just sit back, relax and enjoy.

Room Tip: We had a room on the south side and it was definitely quieter. Also if driving a car make sure you...

This hotel is a stones throw from the beach (1 minute walk) and in the centre of town. The room was spotless and the bathroom possibly the best we've experienced at a French hotel, very modern and well decorated.

For the money it is excellent value and in a very good location. The only minor drawback was the noise from the busy road out front.

An easy walk from the train station we found this hotel very welcoming with friendly staff. The room had large windows with a view to the front garden and ocean beyond was clean and well maintained. There were both a number of nearby restaurants (2 mins) and 10 minutes in city center. Beach is 50m. Great location if visiting Monaco as train is only 10 minutes travel. Loved Menton just a pity about the weather during our stay.

Ideal location for visiting Menton and this famous coast. It is a real gem. The owners and staff are delightful. This hotel is a delightful blend of the traditional and modern. it has been tastefully refurbished and there is a real 'family' atmosphere, which is a pleasure. It is wonderfully situated, close to the famous parks and gardens, sea front, shops and restaurants. The restaurants recommended by the hotel were excellent. It was a magnificent place from which to enjoy the famed lemon festival. We shall return very soon!

Room Tip: Front ,first floor facing the gorgeous garden.

The location is great, near the train station and one block from the sea and various restaurants ; There is also a self service laudry just one block from the hotel. The price is excellent and the rooms, although small are clean and modern. They also have a good refreshing area for those who have chindren. Breakfast is good. There is the possibility of parking if you book in advance (I recommend) . Menton is a lovely , charming and pleasant town , very close to Italia border. If plan to go during the feast of lemon, even better.
I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to know the area.

This is a very pleasant, friendly hotel located close to the sea front and within walking distance of the station. Although it's a ten minute walk to the shops and restaurants of the old town, lots of hotels are even further away, and this is the closest you can get to the stands and parade route, if you're attending the annual citrus festival. On parade day, when all the cafes and bars are full to the limit, you have the option to sit in the sunny, sheltered hotel garden for a quiet beer and a sandwich before a short stroll to your seat for the parade.

In terms of facilities, we had a clean modern bedroom with heating and air conditioning. Breakfast was rather basic.

From the outside this is an attractive typical mid-size hotel in Provence (including, unfortunately, a later ground floor addition to create a breakfast room and bar). But the rooms have been recently re-done with wood floor, chic linens, nice bathroom, flat screen TV, etc. We had a group price of €105 which was amazing given the quality and location (quite near the train station and many seaside and other restaurants). Never thought to have such quality for this price on the French coast.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front side are not noisy since the hotel sits back from the street. Enjoyed looking ou...
