Description: n emblematic place par excellence, La Réserve is an exceptional address. Moored since 1862 at the port of Nice, backed by Mont Boron, La Réserve de Nice bears its name from the ponds formerly installed at its feet. Immortalized by the photographs of the famous Nice photographer Jean Giletta, it is part of the Riviera heritage.

A nice combination of friendliness, gorgeous view, fine dining and all you could wish. Take a glass of champagne in the lobby. Enjoy the view. Waiters are friendly. English not spoken by all. Even the house is full the ambience was superb and civilized. We spent 300 euros for two and it was worth of that.

We came early like 19.15 and got good service before the others.

Heartily recommended.

Thank Kai E

If you wanna save a day to spend a bit more money but in a place with good food, quiality, kind staff, nice view in Nice.... I woukd recomend La Reserve.
The place is very well located, showing an amazing view from Côte d' Azur. The food is delicious! And the menu is not conventional, is a bold and tasy mix of ingredients. My favorite was the dessert: olive oil ice cream. The staff is kind. The place is pricy, but it worth it.

We love this restaurant and return every year for the view and the food. The decor is elegant and the food is creative. Foie gras to die for! There is a special lower price for a lunch menu during the week. If you want the best in outdoor dining with dramatic views of boats while you eat on a sunny day, choose La Reserve. If the wind gets chilly they will even provide blankets. Or you could eat inside by one of many windows with the same fabulous view.

I came to La Reserve as a walk in for lunch. Spectacular views. I was seated outside and enjoyed the sun and the breeze and the views. Every course I had was lovely and the staff attentive and helpful. The wine recommendation was local and spot on. I would say this place is a must eat for Nice!

While on business in Nice, I dined at La Reserve with several colleagues. The restaurant was chosen by one of my team mates, who hadn't checked on price range. Needless to say, this is a very expensive restaurant so be prepared whether you're paying the bill yourself or need to explain on your expense report!

Cost aside, there are several reasons to splurge. On arrival, you're greeted by a well-dressed doorman and a Maître 'd who is attentive and discreet. Since we dined in early March, it was too cold to sit outside but that didn't in any way diminish the gorgeous views that other reviewers talk about. The restaurant has floor to ceiling glass walls that allow everyone to take in the view.

I liked the food overall. It was gourmet as you would expect. All dishes were small-ish but rich in flavor and nicely presented. I ordered the scallops as my entree, which was served in a frothed butter sauce. The chef treated us to a broccoli soup served in a shot glass that was delicious.

The service at La Reserve was good but quirky, like what others said. For instance, the head waiter tried to direct us away from ordering from the a la carte part of the menu saying it would take less time. And one colleague's dinner choice was written down incorrectly; the head waiter was willing to take it back to the kitchen but we decided as a group to switch his meal with another colleague's so we could save time. Both a little surprising for this level of restaurant.

In my opinion, this is the type of restaurant you want to go to if you're in Nice on holiday and really want to do things first class or if you're hosting a special occasion, whether personal or business and money is no object.
