“Fantastic Stay”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

Just got back from a fantastic stay at Mas des Olivers. Jean-Rene and Michael are the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. The Mas itself is great, with a beautiful garden, infinity pool and fantasic views of Nice and the Sea. Highly recommended.

We spent a heavenly three days here at the beginning of April. Only a 15 minute drive from Nice Airport, once the gates close behind the car you feel you have left all stress behind. The charming owners Jean-René and Michael are the perfect hosts.
The lovingly-tended garden offers many sunny corners where you can laze on a lounger, sipping a drink from the well-stocked honesty bar.
Should you need any advice on where to eat, or the sights worth seeing, the hosts are generous in sharing their favourite places with you.
The view from our room offered a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the sea. The accomodation meets all your needs, comfortable surroundings, immaculate bathrooms well-stocked with toiletries and fluffy towels.
A short 20 minute drive away from the old town of Nice, this is the perfect haven where you can relax but still be close to the night life of beautiful Nice and all the other picturesque places of interest.
Thanks again to JR and Michael for spoiling us, we'll be back!!

Our two Swiss hosts have this bed and breakfast in the hills above Nice with views of the sea, mountains and accessible by highway on one side which leads to Monaco or Cannes and on the other side which leads directly to Promenade des Anglais in Nice centre. Delightful stay during the New Year for two nights. Our hosts made sure to help us with maps and directions and the breakfast was perfect.

Room Tip: Azur Room has the view of the sea

This was a lovely two-nighter stop before flying home. We were greeted very warmly by our host who explained the basics in an uncomplicated way. There was a nice presence throughout the house, without any awkward obtrusiveness. You were made to feel at home and left to yourselves if you so desired. The house itself was nicely laid out. It had a fantastic view. Breakfast was generous and our host got up to see us off very early on the second morning which was thoughtful. The toiletries were nice too. He gave us great directions into Nice through a shortcut that made the return home that night much safer to drive through. He had a contagious laugh. It was a good place for a nervous flyer to relax before a flight. You're in good hands here.

Nice and friendly hosts who serve a good breakfast. The garden is beautifull and the B&B is located in the hills with a nice view on Nice and the sea. We stayed in the biggest room with a large terrace on the first floor, no TV and no fridge for a cold drink. The bed is rather low situated on the floor. For the younger guest no problem of course?
We stayed in mid september 2013, as the pool is not heated It's more to wath to pool then to swimm in the pool.

A bit expensive.

We stayed in the Pamplemousse suit with our 22 month old in July 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners are fantastic, very helpful and the breakfast is super. Our 22 month old loved the swimming pool, it has a staggered entrance so he could wander in and out without difficulty. Plenty of room in our suite for the travel cot. Room cleaned daily. Towels supplied. Would happily have stayed here for longer.

You definitely need a car if you are staying here.

What a pleasant surprise well worth the 9km from the city center of Nice. Jean - Rene' is a fabulous host with plenty of stories to share. Our room had a fantastic view of the sea, even thou it was in the distance it still was fabulous. We also had a little sitting room which allowed us to sit and have the fresh fruit which we got on arrival - Nice tough Jean - Rene'
Outside separate from the house is a kitchen area which is good for quests if they want to do a little cooking of their own and a well equipment fridge with champagne, wine and beers, reasonably priced.
The road leading up to the gust house is tricky and needs your full attention as it gets narrow and at times only one car can either go up or down! Beware at all times!!! Otherwise it's stunning up in the mountains.
Jean - Rene you need decent pillows and a longer duvet or two single covers for the double bed. Tea and coffee would be nice in the room for those rates.

While we were there a couple got engaged and it turns out they're on a travel adventure popping in and out of different countries - good luck!!

Room Tip: Room Les Vignes- suite with a sea view and balcony.

Hi Chantelle,
With a lot of delay for which I sincerely apologize, we would like to say thank you for your review and for your feedbacks.
We had actually bought new pillows the day before you left and we exchanged them on the day of your departure! We were not fast enough :-)
A little kettle is now available in the room.
Take care and kind regards from sunny Nice.
