We stayed at Villa Léonie last spring. It's a wonderful old mansion which has been split into little apartments, each with its own character. The proprietors have turned it almost into an art exhibition, with curious collections of objects sprinkled around.
Our apartment had a stunning view down toward the water, which is within easy walking distance. There are cooking utensils, plates, bowls and cutlery if you fancy cooking, which we did. Everything was impeccably clean. Our room was very grand, though I believe there are more basic rooms to fit a single person or a more basic budget.
There's a very nice garden and gazebo to picnic in as well.
There's a supermarket about 10 minutes walk away. Toward the port - maybe 15 minutes on foot - is a host of great restaurants, mainly seafood.
