The hotel is very nice and though its a good distance along the Promenade D'anglaise it was served by morning and evening shuttle bus to the town centre. On the down side, a charge of 15 Euros for sitting next to the rooftop pool was a real put off - especially when this is one of the main attractions for booking the hotel. (A family of 4 - 60Euros -mmmmmmmmmmm)

It was most disappointing that this hotel feels it justified to charge 18 Euros to use its pool. Its really a beautiful pool but the charge is totally out of line.

And the minibar continues this overcharging. 5 Euros for a can of coke is way too much.

As is the by the minute charge to use the computer/printer in the lobby.

It should be noted that the shuttle bus has an increased frequency of runs in July/August so it is possible to go into town for dinner and return. Surprised its free.

We stayed (room 561) for 6 nights, we departed today. We had a corner suite, the room was ver roomy, two rooms actually, one room with a double sofa bed, the other with a queen bed. We wrer a family of two adultsvand two teenagers. Included in the rate was breakfast and sun beds on by the rooftop pool. Service was good, the courtesy shuttle bus in and out of the Nice city centre was good, albeit very full. It's a 30 min walk along the promenade to the city, be sure to go into the old Nice for Dinner, the newer part was nowhere as nice, so take the first right after getting off the bus at Nice and enjoy. Le Safari is the pick of the bunch, but be there before 830pm or you will only be offered a table inside. The Raddison Breakfast was great, the beachside facility was adequate albeit a little tired, the service was good, but at 18 euro per person a bit rich. All in all a good place to stay if you can get an all inclusive package.

Room Tip: Be sure to include breakfast and rooftop pool access in your room rate

You might think that in a "Four Star" hotel would have "ice" available, complementary towels for the beach, access to a computer to check airliine resvations, etc. Jeeze...even the lowliest Holiday Inn features those things.

This Radisson Blu has all of this, but they all come with additional fees, even though you are paying a lot of money for the room). Ice is available via room service (no machine). Towels are only available if you pay the additional 18 Euro for a beach chair for 1/2 a day. Use of their computer and internet is 9 Euros. In short, they have their hands out for every little amenity.

The staff is rude and it was consistently difficult to get the attention of the bartenders and waiters even when there was no one else at the bar (I admit that this is a problem just about anywhere in France - but still not excusable).

There is a restaurant and bar on the roof and when there is an event going on (as there was during our stay - The Nice Ironman)..you can feel the techno-thump music from 3 floors down. Don't even think of any peace and quiet if you are on the floor below.

The hotel is located about 4 miles from the "old town" area. There are few restaurants or shopping options nearby. There is a shuttle to the other end of town, but it ends in the early evening so you are on your own if you have gone out for the evening. I think that this is part of their euro-grubbing business plan...strand the guests and then gouge for every item ($12.00 Beer!).

I will give them due credit for putting out a very nice breakfast each day. But, even if they served caviar and pheasant under glass for the "petit dejeuner", it would not compensate for the other faults at this hotel.

My husband and I stayed at the Radisson for a three night romantic break. Although the hotel is a very long way (5km) out of town, it is quiet comfortable with a fabulous pool/cafe/restaurant on the roof and a private beach. Breakfast on the terrace is good, with a varied buffet, though, I must add, absolutely no bread or pastries for the gluten free diet.
22 euro sounds like a lot but when you realise that a simple coffee is 5 Euro and no meal on the riviera costs less than 20 euro it seems reasonable !
The room was spacious with comfortable bed, nice bathroom and toiletries. The aircon worked perfectly which was important as it was very warm at night.
Our only complaint was that you had to pay to use the pool and beach (yes, even as a hotel guest) and at 18 Euro per person this seemed totally excessive - the manager, who we met, said that if they offered it free the pool and beach would be crowded and noisy... Make of it what you will!
We were lucky as the pool was being maintained one day which entitled us to free use of the beach. You do get a free bottle of Evian water with your towel and sunlounger however!!

Only booked the hotel going off the standard of the UK radisson hotels. Staff were unhelpful, rude and arrogant. The room had numerous problems and they didnt want to know. Poor customer service. Overpriced waste of time.
on the last day which ruined the whole weekend the reception staff and pool staff were disgraceful we ended up getting changed and freshened up in the hotel lobby for our trip home, we werent the only ones. I will never use a radisson in France again.

The hotel is quite far from the old city center. There is a free shuttle to the town, but on very unconvienent hours in the evening, so take the public transport which is cheap.

The room is ok, but not worth 4stars. The staff is friendly, sometimes overfriendly.

Don't stay for dinner, because the flavor and the quantity is not worth the money; in the old town you can eat a 3 course menu for the price of one dish at the hotel.

Also the 22 euro breaksfast is not that great you want to pay that much for it and the same counts for the very small breakfast for 12 euro at the rooftop. Again in the old town you have a nice braffast for 8 euro.

The seats, parasol and towel at the swimmingpool and at the beach are about 20 euro for a whole day, but no hourly rates and there is actually no place for guests do not require these things as such.

BTW the swimmingpool is small and he Hamman outdated.

In short everything no value for money.
