Delayed flight meant a landing 2 hours later than it should, and to make things worse, there we were, near midnight and our booked and paid-for taxi no-where to be seen.We thought we were victims of a scam=by=internet. Our greeting at Villa Victoria was warm and sympathetic, and the brilliantly helpful desk staff took over, and over the next 2 days pursued the company concerned and got us a complete refund We were amazed and delighted, but found this was only typical of them ,we also had excellent recommendations for food ,buses
theatre, and they willingly pursued tickets, taxis etcEveryone speaks of the rooms and the location, the garden and the breakfast[all really good]but for us a hotel is only as good as its staff and here they were outstanding

Special thank you to Veronika at Front Desk. Her knowelege about restaurants, trains, buses - very helpful and accurate.
Hotel staff - very professional.
Hotel location - is super. Walking distance to everywhere.
The only one bug I've had was - bad Wi Fi on the 3rd froor. So, if you depend on the internet, take a room lower.

Room Tip: Try to find place for your breakfast around. It is very easy.

I've stayed at Villa Victoria for a week this summer.I booked a superior room, very beautiful, with a big bed and embroidered cushions. The bathroom is spacious and clean but old and ugly. Free wi-fi in the room.
Breakfast is good and plentiful and is served in the beautiful garden. Infact the outside part of the hotel is very nice. The garden has a few tables and a gazebo and has many colorful flowers and fragrant plants.

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and had a garden view room with ensuite including bath.
The room was a good size, well presented, clean, had effective aircon and a mini bar / fridge.
Continental breakfast was excellent and could be taken either indoors or in the garden.
Staff were very helpful, arranged airport transfer, and advised on bus and train routes and times.
Location within 10 mins walk of train station, bus station, promenade and old town.
Plenty of good eating establishments within short walk.

Room Tip: Rooms with garden view probably quieter than those with city view.

We booked a triple and a twin room and both rooms were a good size. The garden facing room had a nice view and whilst the street facing room may have been noisy with the window open once it was shut the air con was both effective and quiet so it was fine for getting to sleep. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast initially seemed on the expensive side, however it was a very nice buffet with the bonus of sitting in the lovely oasis of a garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The main tourist areas of Nice are an easy 10 minute stroll away, with the beach even closer. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and 5 days quite happily and satisfied, that I'm looking forward to going back! Here's my review:

Location: Perfect! Close to the beach, shopping area, Vieux Nice, train and tram stations, only about 20 minutes by bus to/from the airport

Reception & staffs: Wonderful, friendly, professional, fluent in English and helpful

Room: Clean, spacious enough, quiet in the evening as it is facing the garden, air conditioner worked perfectly.

Bed: Not too soft and not too hard

Bathroom: Clean, a very good shower head, clean towels daily, good hair dryer

Breakfast: I was provided with lactose-free milk substitute and yoghurt for my breakfast. Good muesli and bread, you can even boil your eggs! Though, the choices of ham and cheeses are common supermarket products. Juice, croissants, sugary cereals and other delightful pastries are also available. Offering freshly brewed coffee would be a plus, but the instant coffee from the vending machine was ok.

Wifi: Very good connection in the lobby, but extending it to the rooms would be definitely be a plus factor

Garden: Wonderful for breakfast or enjoying the breeze under the shade of the trees

Room Tip: Rooms view a garden view for less noise
