“Good hotel, perfect location!”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

A very good hotel. Convenietly located, just 20 mins away from the famous Promenade des Anglais. Very friendly staff and SUPERB buffet breakfast. Will definitely recommend to everyone planning a visit to Nice.

We stayed here for 6 days at the beginning of April. First the good. Big, opening window, clean, non smelling, fairly new, good maintenance, 3 elevators, good bed, marbled bathroom, and wonderful breakfast. And the tram is at most five bus lengths from the door(across a narrow park). The one week tram/ bus fare is 15 Euros. Our cruise ship stopped at the port, and we walked with our luggage to the square, and took the tram 2 stops to our hotel. Leaving we took the tram 2 stops to the square and then took bus 98 to the airport (6 Euros). We took the tram extensively, so the location of this hotel was a real plus. Some of the character type hotels that I considered were definitely not in as good an area.
Breakfast ( some people complain about everything) was super. And I have a gluten allergy and had no complaints at all. 5 types of cheese, and 5 types of sliced deli meats, at least 4 types of juices, a great bread selection (that I can't eat) scrambled eggs with mushrooms, nuts, salads (I've never seen salads for breakfast before), yogurt, honey, fresh fruit cups as well as fruit slices, crepes, porridge, etc., and two machines to make coffee, capucino, espresso, or hot chocolate. But remember I said it is a big hotel, and there are tours here. So the very large breakfast area did almost fill up one day (still too cool to eat outside) and things did run out. But the workers were running off their feet to get it done, and that was only 1 day out of 6. One reviewer said this was only slightly better than a continental breakfast--I sure wish Canadian hotels had great breakfasts like this included with their stays!
Complaint: AIR CONDITIONING IS NOT TURNED ON DURING THE SHOULDER SEASON.
At 3 in the morning, I bet it was 25 degrees in the room. So the next night we changed to a room on the front of the hotel with morning sun only, so it was cooler AND quieter. And they gave us a fan.
We had free Wi-Fi, and it worked fine, but I'm not on business...

Room Tip: Rooms to the front are cooler and quieter.

May not be centrally located nor is it located at the beach or port front but with a tram line right in front of the hotel, make it accessible to many areas around Nice. In fact, for those who enjoyed a leisure walk to the prominent tourist attractions including the Nice Port, Le Chateau (the high view point of Nice to see the panoramic of the French Riviera plus the city itself along with the Vieux Nice or the old Nice, can do so on foot. There are also a couple of good restaurants nearby that served fresh seafood besides other cuisine restaurants that serve Japanese and Italian.

Room Tip: Higher floors to avoid traffic noises from the main road, if your room is facing it.

We visited Nice with family. The hotel location was excellent, walking distance from the center, the old city, beach, with a tram stop opposite. But still, in a peaceful area. Nearby, about 5 minutes walk was a small railway station, so one could avoid the crowdy main station when visiting by train locations nearby Nice. The hotel service was friendly and polite, helpful and offered good tips about places to visit (thank you, otherwise we would have missed San Remo!). In addition the hotel had collected useful information for visitors, also applying visits outside Nice: timetables of trains.

Itself the hotel was new, with a beautiful view and swimming pool and bar in the roof, practical gym and sauna. Unfortunately we had no time to visit them, as there was so much to see in Nice and cities nearby. We got two rooms with a connecting door between and were very happy about this. Rooms were modern and clean, with a comfortable and big beds. Breakfast excellent, for every taste, and healthy.

I can truely recommend this hotel when visiting Nice, for families, couples etc.

Very helpful accommodating hotel staff who made sure our stay very comfortable Spacious up to date rooms. The service staff ensured the rooms were well maintained during our visit. The location of the hotel was a jog from the beach, old town, and the marina however the walk was scenic. If walking is not a preference, the metro is only a few steps away from the hotel entrance. There is also a train station close by, if walking, it is approximately 15 minutes away. The rooms were reasonably priced. Enjoyed the stay at this location.

We liked this nice hotel. Large rooms, very clean and new. Staff well trained and willing! The breakfast was good but normal, the same as continental breakfast of another international hotels, although well served. Your localization is near to Gare Nice Riquier (railway station) and Promenade Paillon. There are small metro in opposite to hotel. The only negative point was the bed, that don't give for us an double bed. We liked and recommend.

Comfort in a Nice. The rooms are spacious and they put in a lot of effort with their room cleaning. We have found service friendly too. The hotel has a nice view from the deck too. It is a 20 minute walk from the old town and it's a nice walk. It is close to the train to Monaco.
