Positives: location, service, good breakfast, fast internet, clean room.

Negatives: 20 euros for overnight parking nearby, old and very hot room, noisy alley inder the window waking us up at 7 every day.

For a weekend in Nice, this hotel is in an ideal location, right on the sea front, 2 minutes walk from Vieux Nice. The room was very clean, comfortable and roomy with two balcony windows overlooking the sea. There is a lot of traffic outside, but the double glazing is extremely effective and not at all intrusive. The staff were friendly and the breakfast which was included in the rate, a self service buffet, was fine. The room rate is on the pricey side, but it is the middle of Nice, and relative to prices there generally, is good value for money. Would recommend.

Stayed one night in this superb position hotel so easy to walk to the sea front, old town and the flower market. We stayed in a premier room at the side of the hotel very quiet. The room was spotless and really comfortable, one nice touch was a real coffee maker, very helpful and friendly staff all spoke excellent English. We didn't take the breakfast but went into the old town where it was better value as the hotels breakfast was a buffet.

We had room 123 which is a good size and has a large balcony and a great view of the bay and Prom des Anglais. Double glazing keeps out just about all traffic noise. However it looked possible to lock yourself out of the room on the balcony? We forgot to ask the staff about this. The staff were very friendly and helpful and they all contributed to make our stay memorable. Thank you!

I visited this hotel with my partner for a short break (2nights). The location is great, right at the beachfront. Rooms are good, basically what you can expect for a Mercure hotel. One might say it's a bit pricey, but don't forget you are in central Nice. Staff is also really friendly and helpful. The only negative thing was that the Air conditioning didn't work well, so it did get a bit warm at night. It's worth paying the extra money for the Superior room. I would go back to this hotel for my next break.

Room Tip: Pay the extra money for a Superior room

The location was indeed very good. The hotel is pricey and the rooms are tiny, but I guess it is normal for Nice.

The staff (receptionists) had been cooking every evening in the common are (small lobby) and there has not been any ventilation so it was becoming sometimes very smokey and smelly of food.

This was our second stay at this hotel; modernised since our last visit - large flat screen TV, electrically operated blinds and (free) WiFi.
It has few facilities: a small bar lounge but a friendly and mostly well informed reception staff. It is well located for the Old Town, the flower and fruit and vegetable market and many restaurants.
Breakfast is available but much better at "Le Coin Quotidien" next to the market.
A disadvantage for the frail and elderly is the access via a fairly long series of steps from street level.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back and sides are quietest. No. 7 is a corner room with windows on 2 sides, one overlo...
