“Indifferent Experience”

I am really suprised at some of the reviews that are listed for this hotel. I would totally agree with the fact that the staff are all very friendly and attentive to your needs and want to ensure that your stay is as pleasant as possible. Although, this is not a hotel that I would suggest anything more than a 1 or 2 stay night stay in. The room we were given was very small, it was difficult to walk round and with the desk made it a very minimal. This was very disappointing as we had asked for a room with a balacony in the hope that this would ensure more space, it could be a case of this actually means less room. With a bedside cabinet even getting out to the balacony proved a tight squeeze, this theme continued in to the bathroom. I think in hind sight that when you enter a lift in a 6 storey hotel and is only fits 3 people that it is a sign of things to come!!!! A very expensive box!!

Our friends opted to book an apartment for a whole week at the same cost, let me say they had something the size of the whole top floor of the hotel and would definitely go this route next time.

we stayed in this hotel 2 years ago and liked the hotel. Now 2 years later we decided to stay again for a week and were really surprised how much the hotel was improved. The new owners did their very best to renovate the hotel and it really looked nice, not to forget the new restaurant where you can take a lovely breakfast for only 10 euro. The bathroom still needed to be renovated, but this would be done later this year in the winter.TV had only french stations, but this also will soon be extended with foreign stations. Also we were very happy with the atmosphere in the hotel, both the owners and staff were very professional and friendly and did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We can absolutedly recommend this hotel to other tourists and will stay in this hotel again, next time. We want to thank the owners and staff for making our stay very pleasant and wish them a lot of succes with their new hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay in Esprit d'Azur! The owner and staff were loving people, and the hotel and room was really clean and comfortable.

Recently renovated in Nice Center. Owners and workers were all fantastic. Gave good advise on restaurants and places to see. Large collection of flyers available. Prompt and patient replies to emails. The owners are very involved in running the hotel and are always there to help and make sure everything is ok. They all speak fluent English. Room very small but comfortable. Location very good. Soap from the local perfume factory a nice touch.
The bathroom of the room I stayed in didn't seem completely renovated (shower tiles and ceiling )and the step from the bathroom down to the bedroom was a little bothersome at first.
I would like to suggest several improvements that could be made that would make the room more comfortable: hook to hand the handheld shower head, hooks for clothes and towels in the bathroom. Full length mirror in bedroom ( I had to stand on the bed to look use the fairly high half mirror in the bedroom, the half mirror would be more practical over the desk. Tiny fridg would be helpful.
Parking is about 10 minutes by foot from the hotel. Only two difficult to maneuver parking spaces are available and must be reserved and paid for. Drop off, pick up parking available in front of hotel.
Price for room not bad considering location. Breakfast seems to rise frequently in price. Parking a bit high but admittedly difficult to come by. Strange that room prices are now LESS than what I paid back in March.
I enjoyed our stay there very much and look forward to returning in a year or two. Thanks to all of you!

We were referred by another hotel since they had no rooms. We were so glad they did. I very nice place to stay. Recently renovated the rooms were very nice, the bed were the most comfortable to had the entire trip. I wanted to take a pillow home they were so nice. The bathroom we had could use a little more fixing up. The pipes needed more paint and looking at other reviewers pictures we didn't have a vanity which would have been nice. The bathroom needed a trash can so I had to take one out of the bedroom. The breakfast was very good and they had a high tech coffee machine that did everything. Would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in Nice!

Stayed here for three nights. The owners are incredibly friendly and the rooms, which have recently been renovated, are very comfortable. I would stay here again happily.

I have been staying in this hotel for the last 3 years very regularly. When I arrived a few days ago, I realized that the name had been changed and it had a new sense about it. When I came in, the owner and his wife explained how they had changed everything recently. The new hotel is wonderful. The beds are redone and extremely comfortable; rivaling my bed at home. Further, the lobby and breakfast area have been completely redone. The new staff is wonderful and responsive.

Currently, they are still working out some of the kinks from the renovations since they were very large. However, this does not detract from the experience of the hotel and I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to NIce on a budget.
