Stayed here for 3 nights during our holiday. Location is great right next to the gare train station which has train connections to all major cities like Monaco, Cannes, Paris. Airport express bus drops right outside the train station. Ibis gare is a 2 minute walk from here.

A dirty escalator takes you upto the ibis reception. There is urine stink just before you enter the hotel.

Our room on the 7th floor was small with an even smaller bathroom (place for only person to stand), shower area was tiny and uncomfortable. The AC made so much noise!! There is no fridge so we kept some stuff in the hotel fridge. There is no safe in the room so we deposited our passports at the hotel reception. There was no place to even keep the suitcase handy!

Street outside is little unsafe when it gets dark. It's a good 30 min walk to the beach crossing the main market area unless you take the tram.

Stayed for 4 nights with family. Caught the bus from the airport that drops you outside Nice Gare train station - a two minute walk from the hotel that connects to all major places. Only put off is the hotel faces a string of adult shops/cinemas, and the homeless sleep along this street where the station is. Quiet at night, and did not feel particularly safe, witnessed a mugging one night. Need to go up an escalator to the reception desk which is probably where people use as a toilet as the smell was unpleasant at the top.
20-30 min walk to the beach or can jump onto the tram from the main shopping street (5min walk)

Had the breakfast one morning which was a nice continental selection, however there are lots of cafés and bakeries in walking distance that offer a wide choice of breakfast with outdoor seating to soak up the atmosphere which we did the other days.

Free wifi a benefit. Staff always helpful and accommodated our requests.

Rooms very dated and basic but clean.

Pool small not much to look at.

Overall good value for time of year, probably not ideal for families with children.

Good Hotel, very good location, walking distance from Train Station and beach. Nice service and good breakfast.... Internet Kiosk at the ground floor and wifi in the hotel too.... Every thing is walking distance. Try and get a room towards the main road so that you have good view.

We stayed here for 2 nights in August, 2014. The location was convenient as it is right beside the train station. Local Airport express bus took us here in about 20 minutes and it stop diagonally across from the hotel escalator that will lead you to the lobby. Free wifi in lobby. Early check in was available and process was smooth. Staff spoke good English. Room was clean but it has a strong chemical smell. Even opening the window didn't help getting the smell out. Both me and my friend are petite and we only had carry-on baggage, but we can barely walk in our room. Can't imagine anyone with a check bag size luggage. There's no luggage rack or floor space for you to open your suite case. Bathroom was EXTREMELY SMALL. Standup shower was lined with white shower curtains and doesn't matter how well you close it, the bathroom floor will get wet. Toilet was available but after you sit down, the wall is only 5 inches from your face. Overall, bead was ok, room was clean, you get what you pay for, if you are not gonna be in the room much then this hotel is for you.

Ps we didn't need house keeping so we put up the DND sign and yet they came in anyways! Dislike!

Situated close to the train station is perfect for day trips to Monaco and Cannes. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable with a nice view of the town. The pool is small but very welcome after a warm day. The only drawback is that it takes at least 20 minutes to walk to the beach. Overall it is great value for Nice and I would certainly recommend to others.

We did a quick stop in Nice before heading to Italy. Hotel Ibis is right next to the Niceville train station. That was the most convenient part. They have escalators to get to the hotel so luggage carrying was easy from station to hotel. Internet was included and good enough speed for basic social networking/emails. The room was comfortable, clean and functional. We also had a small view of the ocean. Even though the room is so close to the train station, there was no noise. The reception staff was friendly and helpful and gave us a room even though we checked in around 9 am. They were also helpful with directions, maps and schedules. This hotel is away from the beach or the main castle hill – about 25-30 minutes on the bus. The bus stop is about 3-4 min walk right down the street from the hotel/train station. So you can choose it based on the trains you will need to catch or time you want to spend at the beach, but it is certainly great value either ways.
