For not a lot more money than your average budget hotel this is an excellent choice. The hotel is located right in the centre of Nice and makes the whole of the city centre accessible. It's also only a 10minute walk from the railway station where as well as catching a train you can also catch a bus to the airport (4€).

We had booked a triple room which was on the front corner of the hotel and as well as having three beds it also had a balcony that wrapped around the corner of the building. As you'd expect there's also satellite TV (including Canal+ and BBC World News), tea and coffee facilities and a safety deposit box.

The room and bathroom were both very clean and tidy. Breakfast is available for around 13€ per person, although you can get it for less at lots of nearby cafes.

Staff were very helpful at check-in and some also spoke English which was handy. There is a 1€ local tax per person per night that is payable on checking out.

Not sure how many floors the hotel has however the lift is very small and you'll only fit one person at a time in it. If you don't find stairs easy then I'd recommend requesting a room on one of the lower floors.

First, Nice is a great town to visit. Especially like the open air market and old towm.

Now for the Roosevelt. Very nice hotel with a friendly staff. We only stayed one night post cruise prior to our flight home, and were very comfortable.

Good location as it is easy to walk from the Roosevelt to both the Market and old town.

Overall a nice place to stay in Nice and the price is right!

We were staying in this hotel in October 2012. Hotel is simply great. Its located in a center of the town in a residential area. There is no noise coming from the street. The room is typical European small room, but bathroom was fantastic - almost as big as a room. Within 5-10 minutes of walking - you are everywhere - beach, shopping, restaurants. The room was clean, bed was firm and fresh. The breakfast was of a good quality and plenty.
The parking is within few blocks away and not included in hotel fees. Internet is free and worked flawlessly.
The reception personnel was exeptionally friendly and their directions were perfect. A very good job. Thanks.

We passed another Best Western hotel Madrid located next to rail road station - too much of unpleasant crowd were hanging out next to the hotel door.

Best Western Rosevelt is near some serious shopping streets and the Nice Etoile Mall. It's about 15 min walk to the old town with its unique admospher and architecture. The interior being more attractive than the outside it has good appointed rooms: clean and comfortable. We got a room facing the street with a balcony and French windows. No noise at all because of the isolation. Avoid room 301 which is next to the boiler which proved to be very noisy. On the landings and in the lobby you'll get newspapers and magazines. The staff is friendly, efficient and multi lingual. Breakfast is worth the 12 €. The hotel had parking as one of the strong points advertised. However, this is only a drop off zone in front of the hotel. Guests may park at the Louvre parking (17 €) nearby. The hotel had a 3=2 offer on its website. Unfortunately I noticed after booking via the booking.com website. It would have saved me 90 € straigt away. So don't forget to check.

They have it all; staff, location and facility. The staff at Hotel Roosevelt were some of the best we've experienced in Europe. Amelie and Soumia at the front desk were exceptional and always willing to answer questions and assisted in all that we requested. The hotel is located conveniently near Avenue Jean Medecin, a major shopping area, and just a short ten minute walk to Place Messena. The neighborhood is not only convienient but also just beautiful with tree lined streets and small specialty shops. There is a small market called Intermarche just two blocks away with a full array of food and supplies you might need. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated with a beautiful lobby and reception area. Our room was probably the best compared to other three star hotels in Europe. The bath was four star or better and had more than enough space to place toiletries and a full bath tub. Our room was a triple and may have been different than the standard double but i would guess that their other rooms, if not as large, are comprable. Hotel Roosevelt is one of the best values we've seen in Europe. When we return to Nice, we will stay at the Roosevelt. Again, a special thanks to Amelie and Soumia for their assistance with St. Roch, faxes and assistance with speaking French.

Bog standard hotel close to the Old Town. comfy beds, small room and nice bathroom. Slightly annoying leaking shower all over the floor. Location is the key with a 5-10 min slow walk to the Promenade and to the Old Town. Arrived early and left luggage but went back at 1.40pm to ask if could check in 20 mins early and told no, it was not possible. Free wi-fi on all floors and staff spoke excellent English. Taxi transfer airport to hotel 25 euros, return journey at 8am on a Sunday was 32 Euros.

Room Tip: I asked for rooms away from the main road - Rooms 314 and 315 were quiet and fine
