When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist was having a conversation with another staff member and outright ignored us for a few minutes. We had to pay before seeing the room and in the ten seconds it took my friend to get the money out her purse, he'd turned back to the other guy and left her waving money in thin air. The room itself was quite small, but not ridiculously so. It was reasonably clean, most importantly (for me anyway!) the bedsheets were clean. When we arrived it smelt lovely of cleaner but we went out and by the time we came back it smelt quite bad, a really awful smell coming up from the drains I think. We could hear noises from other rooms perfectly though the beds were so comfy I still had a good sleep anyway, depends on your tolerance I suppose. Other than the first meeting with the receptionist, most of the staff were perfectly nice, not particularly helpful but they did humour me when I tried to speak French which was polite of them. They also let us keep our suitcases in the storage area for free for a few hours on our last day which was appreciated.
Our room's view was pretty bad - a roof covered in bird droppings complete with the resident pigeons cooing outside the window.

The location is very good though, a couple of minutes' walk from the Nice Ville station. A few reviews have mentioned the location being a little dodgy but I thought it was quite nice to be honest. It's a perfect base for travelling, only a few hours from where I live in Italy and hardly any effort at all to visit Monaco or go to Ventimiglia. Basically I would recommend staying here if you're on a very tight budget, as it was very cheap, but don't expect anything special!

This hotel was everything that I expected accept the room was larger. Clean basic rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was OK - nothing special. Could have done with more power points in the room - ours only had one. Great position next to the railway station and the tram.

We stayed here end oct 2012 for 4 nights. We were very happy with our choice. The room was basic (what you'd expect form the price) but clean and a very comfy bed. Perfectly good clean en-suite. The room was cleaned and fresh towells every day. Staff very friendly and helpful, good english. The breakfast was a croissant and bread with jam etc and as much juice/coffee/tea as you could drink. Excellent location, very close to the train station and 15 min walk to the front/ flower market etc. On the first night I got bitten (I recalled one reviewers claim of bed-bugs!!) but it was a mosquito, we had the window open, so we slept with it closed after that and no more problems! So don't worry, there are no bed-bugs- I did think it strange that the man that wrote that said his wife had been bitten, not him, I don't think bugs are fussy like mozzies are!!!!!
I would def recommend and stay here again, really good value for money. It was a bit noisy at night, but then it is a city-centre hotel.

The rooms were clean and the bathroom brand new, the Hotel is 2 minutes away from the station and about the same from the main Boulevard/shopping alley!
We were very pleased with service and the bargain price we got for what should be a three star! The only slight let down was the breakfast in such that it was quite limited, but all in all a very pleasant stay!
They've also got free wifi in the lounge and the password is even hung up on the wall!

The hotel location is very good. It's 4-5 min walking from the train station. The beach is around 30 min walking. The beach we've visited is with rocks and water is cold. The hotel was basic, but clean. In the room we had a air conditioner and a small TV. The bathroom was good. If you want to spend one night in Nice, as we done that hotel is great place. And of course don't forget the price, which was reasonable.

This hotel is very basic. Rooms are dated and small. However having said that, it was very cheap, the location is excellent; walking distance to nice ville and 10 mins walk to the sea front. The harbour is around a 20-25 minute walk. Staff are very friendly and helpful and wifi is available for free, although it only works on the lower floors. Overall, if you want value for money with a great location but aren't to bothered about decor and size of rooms, then this hotel is great.
