I visited Nice for a science conference which was held in the Acropolis and stayed one extra day as a tourist.
I stayed in a decently sized room (at least for 1 person), with 2 beds, one small, very suitable to leave your suitcase on and the other a double size bed, great if you're alone.

The room has a modern, though somewhat dark look and appeared to be cleaned every day.
It was supposedly equipped with some kind of air conditioning, but it was controlled centrally, which turned out to be pretty useless. I ended up opening the windows anyway, even though a sticker suggested the room was "air conditioned" and one should not need to open it.
The room even had a fridge and a water cooker with instant coffee and tea replenished every day.
A problem though, was the lack of power outlets on the bed-side of the room. There was only one in the hall and two at the desk. So , if you're like me and want to watch some show on your laptop in bed, or want to charge your phone during the night, while it still being on your night stand, I would suggest to bring an extension chord (2m might do, make it 3 just to be sure).

The bathroom was very tidy and the shower reached good temperatures and water pressure. Clean towels every day.

Staff were very friendly throughout my stay, always greeting, even in the morning when I can't really manage more than a grunt. When I left, a receptionist ordered a taxi for me, after making me some coffee (at the bar, so I did have to pay for it). She too was very friendly.

Then, last and least, the breakfast. Frankly, that was rather crappy. The bread was ok, but the fruit was almost warm, the bacon was chewy and the eggs bland. The coffee, to my surprise was also rather bad. Aside from the hotel it seemed impossible to come across a bad cup of coffee, hence the shock. The little plastic cups of yogurt were also almost warm. They really do need to put this stuff in a fridge.

All-in-all a decent hotel, with a poor breakfast. Maybe it would be better to book without breakfast and have some proper food in a cafe on your way to wherever you're going.

I recently had the misfortune of staying at this hotel for a work trip. On arrival we were told that the air-conditioning was not working which meant the rooms averaged about 22 degrees. The first room I was given had mould on the walls in the shower, smelt damp throughout and was generally not very clean. I asked to move rooms and was given another room that had a leak on the floor meaning the carpet was wet. The staff weren't overly helpful and it seemed that it was all a bit of a hassle for them. The bread in the morning breakfast was dry and the breakfast not very nice or fresh. I really would stay elsewhere. Such a disappointment.

Room Tip: Get one as high as possible, the second room I was given was opposite a comedy club with crowds spil...

Convenient hotel for a city trip: good, big enough rooms, we liked a room at the front, as it is better situated to the sun ( never hot sun directly in room), nicely furnished, not overdone. Bathrooms still need remodelling. Breakfast is ok, could do with a little more TLC. Frontdesk people are great and helpful. If you are willing to do some effort in French, they will address you with all their efforts in English (but tat is normal to meet each other half way). Hotel situated clise to main square, old city, some small nice, local restaurants, not too much in busy bar/nightlife area.
Weakness were airco which didn't work (in process of renovation) and wifi: strength of signal is really poor on top floors and end of hall way. Front desk lady said that poor signal was due to amount of guests, but don't buy that. The speed can depend on amount of sers not the signal strength. I persevered and got better room in middle of hotel, but lady was rally accomodating. Which shows that management has just instructed her poorly. Upon our check out, you could see her annoyance with poor equipement given by botel management. Hotel is a good start, but still lots to do to make it a good and smoothly operated hotel. Breakfast staff lacks energy to work; hire new people for breakfast area! Oh and bar & restaurant... The spaces are there but don't expect an operational bar or restaurant! Again hotel management; get your act together!

Room Tip: Noisy street in front, but back rooms get full blown sun and without air co that really gets HOT als...

We were signed up for a tour of France and Hotel Apogia was our first hotel. While it's within walking distance of the port area and in a somewhat quiet area, the rooms were not impressive. The water pressure for the shower was horrible. Bath tub had mold. Beds were small. We were lucky enough to have a second bed. Elevators sounded as if they were on their last leg and about to give way. While getting into our room, the entire third floor lost power for nearly an hour. What staff we did talk to, they appeared nice. The hotel was supposedly going through a renovation. The hotel was good for having somewhere to lay my head and luckily they had a breakfast buffet that was actually good. Other than that, I wouldn't stay there or suggest it to anyone else.

Stayed here for 2 night as part of a Trafalgar tour - European Cavalcade.

We had room 218 which had a queen and single bed with air-con. Toilet was separate from bathroom. Sensor light in cupboard space would come on a night if you got up so no need for a light to be turned on. Quite area. Post office with ATM's one block away if needed

Laundromat two blocks away as well as a large shopping centre. Walking distance to the Port area and heaps of restaurants. Try the Pappagallo for a meal just a short walk from the hotel (see my review on trip advisor)

Also a short walk to the Tram which takes to various stops and the city centre for more shopping and restaurants

Overall a good hotel central and within walking distance to many attractions.

We arrived in Nice without anywhere to stay so frantically looked for a hotel to take us in! We managed to find a hotel that kindly let us use their internet to make a booking - we came accross a deal for Hotel Apogia so confirmed it and made our way to the hotel. WHAT A MISTAKE!!
It was getting late so we were really looking forward to crashing out - unfortunately we were greeted by such a rude member of staff who refused to aknowledge our internet book. I can't even begin to describe how rude this man was! He wouldn't allow us to use the hotel phone to call the UK booking helpline so I had to use my mobile! The guy was then very rude to the person at the end of the helpline. Finally a confirmation email came through to the hotel and the guy aknowledged our booking (despite me showing my confirmation email several times). We had been waiting in reception for two hours trying to sort out what could have been relatively straight forward. During this time we watched the guy (who was called something like Bellend) be rude to several other guests. Shocking, really shocking,

The room was ok and we had got a deal so was probably good value but I would never have paid the full price to stay there. A lot of building work was going on too and the lifts looked like they had seen better days.

The hotel was in a good and peaceful region,
Near the center and in areas that are worth to visit someone.
The benefits of the hotel were not as expected.
The cost of the hotel compared to the benefits of was much larger.
Poor breakfast poor quality.
