Stayed here for 3 nights last week - great beds, superking beds which are amazingly comfy, high quality bed linen, nice wet room. Glad we upgraded to superior room as bright and airy, full floor to ceiling windows and partial see view. Pic on here shows room at the back which has small window and no view, but really worth upgrading if you can. Very nice staff, good breakfasts, lovely walk along Prom Des Anglais to town centre (15 mins), so bit further out than some hotels but quieter location as at right angles to the main Prom. Mini bar removed from room so its a small fridge which is better, can buy wine, champagne etc in reception. Lovely rooftop area with bar, comfy seats, nice pool, lots of loungers and lovely 360 degree view of the town. Very clean hotel, will return!

Room Tip: Get a superior partial sea view - definately worth the extra money. Heard fellow travellers complain...

I have just returned from a short break to Nice and stayed at this hotel for 3 nights.
I was travelling
with my mother who is 71 and my sister and had booked this as a birthday surprise. EasyJet had sold me a room that did not fit any description on the hotels web page ( A TRIPLE DEUXE SEA VIEW ROOM) and on arrival we where given a room with 2x single beds and a camp bed or a bed you would use for a small child. I explained that we don't sleep on camp beds at home and they then offered me a junior suite for an extra 100 euros a night. I refused to pay as it was Easy jets fault for selling me a room that did not exist . The receptionist spoke to her manager and not only gave us the room free of charge but delivered champagne and chocolates to our room. The staff where excellent and especially the Receptionist (Cheila) who understood my complaint and dealt with it very efficiently. The hotel is beautiful and is in a great position and i will not hesitate to return.

Room Tip: The hotel is to the Side of the Promenade so all rooms are partial sea view.

This hotel has been renovated and is as good as it gets for Marriott Hotels and far better than most US Marriotts. It is located close to the Promenade and various bus routes. The staff are very friendly and service focused. If it misses the mark is the lack of an Executive lounge which a hotel of this standard should have. It also provides wine glasses but plastic cups in the bathroom; not what you might expect from a full service hotel. Overall a good place.

Dear Oldjack,

Thank you for your comments about your stay with us on TripAdvisor. We do appreciate it very much that you have enjoyed your stay with us. As we are a select service brand, the AC Hotels do not offer an Executive Lounge unfortunately. Also, we have contemplated glasses in the bathroom as opposed to plastic cups, however, out of a saftey reason, we decided not to put it in the bathroom, but in the bedroom.

Again, thank you for your feedback and we do hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you back one day.

Stayed at this AC Hotel for Marriott points. Check in was quick, friendly and professional along with an upgrade to a higher floor.
Although our "garden view" was ho-hum we quite enjoyed the furniture, excellent lightning and the efficient layout in the modern room.
Favourite feature was the shower/tub combo with excellent pressure, good towels and guest amenities except for the soap which was a round ball and kept rolling away.
We did not eat in the hotel as there were plenty of cafes within a short walking area.
It was common to pass panhandlers near the hotel but none were ever threatening or aggressive. This IS a safe area day & night.
I would recommend this hotel and suggest asking for a beach view to enhance your stay.

Dear advcardio,

We are delighted to see you have enjoyed your stay with us, thank you for your nice comments!

And indeed, the rolling ball soap, there is a tric to it, take the box from which it comes, you can put that on its side with the round opening to the top and put the ball in the opening, and it stays. :-)

Again, thank you, and we do hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon!

Located right opposite the beach and close to Rue de France, AC Hotel Nice makes for a good place to stay while in Nice. The choices of food places are somewhat limited at this location, especially at night.

It is roughly 15-20 minutes walk to Place Masséna (Main city square) where most of the action, shopping and restaurants are located. So you will definitely get fit by walking off the yummy food that you eat in Nice.

Free wifi is only located in the lobby. This is not so bad as there are many comfy couches and tables around to use your laptop/tablets.

The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. The hotel accommodated us with an extra roll-away bed as we were traveling in a group of three and we still had plenty of space in the room. The room was clean.

Dear Kenny C,

We thank you for your nice comments about your stay with us via TripAdvisor. We just like to add that wifi is also free in all public areas, including our Zen garden and the rooftop area with the swimming pool; so while enjoying the sun and a swim, you can also surf on-line for free.

Once again, thank you and we do hope to welcome you back one day in the near future!

Myself, husband and two friends have just returned from Nice after a wonderful break. The AC Hotel is only a short walk along the promenade to the shops, along the way there are some lovely hotels, bars and restaurants where you can sit and relax. We ate in the hotel restaurant the first night because we arrived late and were recommended a lovely bottle of wine from the waiter. We stayed in a de-luxe sea view room on the 7th floor which was modern, spacious and clean. We arrived to find a bottle of champagne and macaroons which was a fab welcome. The hotel is not directly on the sea front but the view from our room was gorgeous. The rooms are very quiet, they have some sort of padded wall covering, we slept really well. The view from the pool area on the room was great and a good place to sit and relax if that's your thing. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and pleasant waiting staff. Me and my friend visited guest toilets in the Hotel de Paris, West End and Negresco and have to say that the ones in the AC Hotel topped all of them for cleanliness. The only gripe I have is that there is a small fridge in the room and they supply bottled water but you have to pay €4 for it, I would have thought that a hotel chain such as Marriott could absorb the cost of water to guests in the price of the rooms. All in all it is a good hotel and we'd stay there again.

Room Tip: De-luxe sea view rooms on the 7th floor

We stayed in a Guest room City view. The standard was good, although the room was quite small. Upon check in, we had no toilet paper and no soap in the bathroom and it took a while to get it. On the third day we received all amenities. The minibar was empty in order for guests to put their own things there, which was good.

The lobby is nice and wi-fi is free of charge there. The bar and restaurant is in the same area with quite a nice garden for dining outside. However, the quality of food in the restaurant was so so and therefore quite pricy. Have a drink there but go outside for dinner.
Breakfast good, not that big variety but all you need. Fresh orange juice, very tasty! The staff was nice but it took some time to get coffee served unless you wanted coffee from the Nespresso machine. Perhaps they should seat the guests to get a better structure.

The location of the hotel is very good, right by the beach side. You just need to cross the street.
Almost right outside the hotel you have a bus stop and you can easily get to the train station from there. Behind the hotel you have small streets with lots of cafés, bakeries and also a pharmacy in case you need it. Supermarkets are there too.

All in all, a nice hotel, good location and very friendly staff. Would stay there again but in a larger room perhaps.

Room Tip: The city view rooms are very small and you don't get much view. You hear the traffic from the si...
