Stayed here for Eng v Scot match at the weekend - booked two rooms. I would call it bijou and functional - no frills. The only thing that ruined it for two of us was the terrible stink of sewerage in our bedroom (top floor - right out of lift). The poor chap on reception only had a rather pathetic room spray to help the situation. We left the door open and with the shutters also wide open, managed to get a bit of a draught through to help clear the smell. Unfortunately we could not speak French well enough to stress just how it had impacted our stay, so didn't bother and tried not to let it blight an otherwise fine stay.
On the plus side, breakfast was great - just what was required and the (grown-up) children said it was their favourite meal - in spite of having eaten very well all weekend! Ample quantities of delicious juices and croissants/pain au chocolate etc. Location for us wasn't brilliant, but as others have said easy to get to/from everywhere by tram/train - so from that perspective location is fine.
Also on the plus side, reception was very helpful - we had to book cab to meet us after the match to go straight to airport and after several totally false starts of trying to book the cab ourselves, we asked the receptionist. Amazingly our taxi turned up as requested ..... outrageously expensive - but cheaper than having missed our flights!
All in all our experience was definitely clouded by the ghastly smell! Without that, it would have been a great stay.
