The best:
- 60€ per night low price for Nice but you get what you pay for (best if you are on a budget, students, etc…).
- The bed is comfortable, soft mattress.
- The size of the room is OK, not big but not too small.
- Bus 99 at the airport brings you to the train station in 20 minutes.
- the hotel is 3 minutes walk from the train station & 20 minutes walk from the beach/old town.
- Two extra blankets in the wardrobe.
- The boulangerie (french bakery), in front of the hotel, is opened from 8:30 to 23:00, perfect for something to eat fast, good price and a good quality.

To improve:
- Rooms are ready quite late at 15h00, luggage are left in the small canteen & lobby if you want to go to the city while waiting. I suggest to lock your luggage and to tie it to a chair or stairs.
- The hotel is quite old, to recommend only if you are on a budget
- No safe in the room, I have locked my own security cable to secure my luggage to the radiator.
- Generally clean but little imperfections: some moisture marks on the shower walls, toilet flush not working well, toilet sit moving, desk with moisture under the protection glass, etc…
- WIFI only in common areas, mainly the small lobby with 3 chairs.
- You can hear quite well the other rooms and the noisy street (I slept with hear plugs then it was OK)
- Old door locks with a metal key that you must let at reception each time you leave.
- Old TV, no remote, could not change the channel but I did not check with reception.

Room Tip: there is quite a lot of noise from the street (and the other rooms)

Location is probably the only good thing this hotel can offer. It's 2 minutes walk to the nearest tram stop. 4-5 minutes to the train station.

Service wasn't too bad. They did offer to book a cab for us for an early morning flight. The younger dark-haired lady was helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations.

We booked a double bedroom which was acceptable. Bathroom was very small. Bigger-sized people could find it a problem showering or sitting on the toilet. The room we got was at the back of the hotel... view was like a slum.

There's no air-con or fan in the room which means you gotta sleep with the window open in the hotter months. They should replace the tv with a fan.

I would pay more for a better hotel next time.

Booked this hotel because it was cheap. The room was okay, although the bathroom is quite small. The bed is comfortable but the sheets are questionable. The plug socket in my room was up near the ceiling - I had to device some makeshift set of pulleys with wires and coat hangers to overcome gravity. The staff do speak English and although they let me store my bag in the hotel it was not locked away but was left in the "restaurant" area. The two members of staff I encountered were laconic and only ever asked for my key. The lift is very small and I could not see someone of an elderly nature staying here comfortably. The surrounding area, if you want to travel with children, should be avoided as it isn't the most pleasant - especially if you turn left out of the hotel.

With all this said, it is very close to the centre of Nice and only 20/30 minutes walk to the sea. I got the room cheap and that, location to Nice and to the train station are about the only pull to it.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel as it has received some bad reviews here. The corridors are a bit dark and not nicely decorated but the rooms are small but clean. The linen is changed every day as well as the towels. It may not be very modern but there's plenty of hot water and the bed is comfy. It is so central right beside the railway station and the tram service. For the price it was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well.

It was the most unpleasant stay under the hole journey in Riviera. dÓstende was expensive and gave nothing but room to return. Badroom was quite nice and we did use it a lot, because there was no airconditioning so we showered four times per night. Hotel was also quite tidy but not what you´d expect with those prices.

Outside noise from bars will keep u awake until at least 4am. No air conditioning in hotel rooms. Very hard to get to sleep in warm weather. Reception staff very rude! All they ask for is your room key. Then when you return. There is a different person in reception and they just hand the key over to anyone! There is no safe you can use! Dodgy electric light in bathroom. Rooms are truly awful. Spillage marks all over room walls. The hotel needs to be shutdown and refurbished or demolished!! Do not book. 1/10

The room was very basic but relatively clean having "recently" been refurbished (tiled floor - newish ensuite shower /toilet), and it is well situated close to Jean Medecin, Nice Etoile and Nice Ville railway station.

However those are the only plus points in my view as the room was not an unqualified success. The net curtain was torn and since there was no heavy curtain and the shutter was virtually hanging off its hinges, there was no real privacy in the room after dark when the light was on. I was only there for 1 night thankfully, as there appeared to be an ant's nest in the room and they were running all over the floor. Rather unsettling, since it caused one to wonder what else might be crawling around in the room !!! I told the elderley receptionist , but she did not appear to be too concerned ???
