Owner description: This historic part of Nice feels like a medieval village with narrow streets curving between old buildings with red-tile roofs, small restaurants and open-markets.

Nice is a big town set up as a hub for the atea and for tourists in the Riviera. But it is the old town where there is great diversity of shops, restaurants, and a soul seems to exists. The rest of Nice is bus4y and spread out but in the old town it is pedestrian, compact and seems transfomational back to another time. There are better examples of old towns nearby in StJohn or Eze but when in Nice spend some time here. It's easy to access and still very much a working environment.

A beautiful old town to walk through. Lovely architecture and a wide selection of shops and restaurants. From leather crafts, fabrics from Provence, to macarons and soaps. As with all of these areas, they are great to walk through, but you will probably find a lot of the same products (such as soaps and herbs) for half the price in a mall.

We stayed at an AirBnB in the Old Town and it was perfect as is surrounded by restaurants, cafes and stores, also there is a food market with good fresh vegetables

As a european I still find this place very charming. This old city center is full of small streets, cute cafes, beautiful people and history. Check out a few of the big sqaures but then I recomend you just lose yourself in the city, don't plan too much, it's perfect.

The Old Town is full of hustle and bustle and has plenty to do. Before you do anything get The French Riveria Pass as this will save a lot of money on the Sight Seeing tours, along with many other attactions. An amazing choice of attractions to visit - just allow yourself plenty of time.
