Nice is a big town set up as a hub for the atea and for tourists in the Riviera. But it is the old town where there is great diversity of shops, restaurants, and a soul seems to exists. The rest of Nice is bus4y and spread out but in the old town it is pedestrian, compact and seems transfomational back to another time. There are better examples of old towns nearby in StJohn or Eze but when in Nice spend some time here. It's easy to access and still very much a working environment.
