My wife and I stayed here twice on our trip around Europe, once for three night in a 4-bed dorm, and once for one night in the private room. Valerio, who ran the place, is a fantastic host, and is very easy to deal with. He offers great advice on Nice and surrounding areas and town on the Cote d'Azur. They have arrange social nights with other guests, a kitchen at your disposal, and free umbrellas and mats for use on the unforgiving rocks on the beach. The place is clean and provides the necessities. Although it is very noisy at night, especially on the street side. For a backpacker, it is a great spot because it is centrally located, is social, and by comparison to other accommodation in the area, it is extremely affordable. The lockers and other furniture could do with some updating, but for a short stay in Nice, you can't go wrong with Victoria Meubles.

Stayed here for a few days while I explored the Cote D'Azur. Very central location with shops, a gorgeous bakery, bike stations and the Promenade a 5 min walk. Val (the manager) was always friendly and helpful. I stayed in a 6-bed dorm. The room was a good size, ensuite and with its own fridge (handy as the one in the kitchen was quite full). The water in the showers was always hot and I felt perfectly safe walking around in the area.

There is no need to add more positive comment actually, for all the good points mentioned in reviews below were all true and we have had 4 wonderful days staying at this peaceful and quiet hostel with the fantastic hosts who really cared for their guests, (whatever needed were provided even umbrella and mat for the seaside rest), thanks Valerio, you are terrific.

The 4 beds dorm was spacious, clean, and breezy equipped with washing sink, stoves, microwave, fan, lamp and though the toilet was a bit small but the toiletries were of good qualities.

Follow the directions given by the hostel but from Gare de Nice Ville train station, take the Tram and you would arrive at the hostel in less than 10 minutes. (see the photos illustration below and you will find how convenient it was).

Highly Recommended.

I have to say, I'm a little shocked by all of the glowing reviews of this hostel. It's not that we had a horrible experience, but it was far from what all of the positive reviews said it would be. My husband and I had a private room and it was as small as it could possibly be. When it's July and hot outside, that makes for a pretty uncomfortable night of sleep. We had a private bathroom, but the shower felt unclean enough that we wore flip flops in it. The sink was so tiny and had a little glass shelf right over it which made it nearly impossible to wash up.

I'm guessing that we were not the target demographic for this hostel since we are married and in our 30s. We were unable to participate in the group pub crawl happening that night and it looked like they regularly organized other events too. I will say that the young guy who runs the place was incredibly nice and helpful, which was really great. The hostel is also in the perfect location in relation to both the main square/street and Old Town. You can walk to the tram stop and take it to the train station if you don't want to walk the entire way. Finally, there is no breakfast provided at the hostel, but there is a wonderful bakery with fresh croissants around the corner. This is definitely a good place for young backpackers, but others may want to consider a hotel.

Better than i had expected . We booked a private room with attached toilet. Its walking distance from the Train station , Beach , old town and the major bus stops ( for monaco and airport ) .
We had a great time at the Pub Crawl and i will strongly suggest you to do it . Rooms were clean , beds were not uncomfortable , but all right . All the folks were helpful , informative and fun . Just chill in the common room and catchup with the other travelers . Did not want to leave by the end of it . They have a luggage storage facility . Food joints and all convenience stores are close . The accomodation is right on Place de maseena ! enjoy !
