Fresh flowers, fresh fruits, fresh cupcakes, fresh vegetables, fresh cheese, fresh spices......you name it and you have it here. The market is flanked on both sides with plenty of restaurants. The vibrant colours and the mediterranian atmosphere is a pleasure to be enveloped in. Walking up and down the alley is an experience in itself.

This is one of the most charming and extensive markeds in the south of France. A pulsating, vibrant and colorful markedplace. Full of small producers, fresh fish, fresh meat, charcuterie, cheeses, farmers-market vegetables, fruits, flowers, spices, coffe, tea and everything what a culinary heart desires. Wander around for hours and really take in the sights, sounds and aromas. If you get a craving for some food while exploring this marked, do not despair, the old town boasts numerous small autentic restaurant featuring th traditional Nicoise cuisine!! My favourite is La Table Alziari and it is located a mere 10 minutes of walking from Cours Saleya in 4 rue Francois Zanin - Amazing and very affordable restaurant to round of a beautiful day of browsing the marked at Cours Saleya! Enjoy!!

We stumbled across the marché around lunch time. A bustling little market just a few steps behind the Promenade des Anglais. You will find not only flowers but also souvenirs like soap, olive oil, cheese, artisan handicrafts and many restaurants and bistros. Always be on the look out for the spots the locals choose for their lunch. They normally know best.
