This was our first non resort short city break with no car and 2 fussy teenagers booked last minute so we were not sure what to expect.
We were very pleasantly surprised and will definitely return. Excellent location 15 mins from airport 10 mins walk from beach 5 mins in the other direction to Nice Ville station where you can easily get a train to Monaco or Cannes with only basic French language skills.
Staff were very welcoming. Room was clean modern and nicely decorated. Sofa bed made 2 single beds for the kids and could separate from main bedroom with sliding door each room has a TV although English channels were hard to find. Bathroom was clean and modern plenty of towels bathrobes and slippers also plenty of shampoo/ showergel etc which was a lovely touch as it can sometimes be lacking in hotels. Small kitchen area but adequate with dishwasher fridge microwave and 2 electric rings carrefore supermarket was 5 mins walk so easy to get breakfast. Room had aircon which was nice and a large window which could be opened easily. No balcony just railings which would not be good for small children but suited us fine. View not great (across the road ) but could see the mountains in the distance. Loads of restaurants nearby with good selection of food at reasonable prices (my family are very fussy) Hotel menu was small a little more expensive but food was good staff were all very helpful and spoke excellent English. Rooftop pool area is quite small so can get a bit crowded but very nice and clean. definitely recommend

Room Tip: Due to the street location views from floor 6 are probably better also quieter

Returned from this hotel yesterday, cannot fault it. We made use of the kitchen for some lunch preperation...Carrefore is just across the road. We used the pool each day which is undercover and on the roof. We ate breakfast at the hotel as part of the deal we booked, there was lots of choice, freshly squeezed juice, yoghuts, cereal, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, scrambled and boiled eggs, sausages, bacon, pain au chocolate, pain au raisen and croissants etc.
The air con worked really well, the sofa bed was two seperate beds (we had envisaged trying to convince the children to share a bed!!!). All in all a great hotel, it might seem more expensive than some other hotels but we are pleased we paid more than we usually do especially being able to relax on a sun lounger whilst the children played in the pool. The waves in the sea were quite big when we were there and so we were unable to relax on the beach due to safety worries.
The hotel offers free wi-fi but the signal was very weak in the room....not a huge problem for us but it might be for others.

Booked two separate suites in July for a family holiday, hotel was very nice and clean and the reception staff very good on our arrival really trying to please. Both suites were neat and tidy and it was nice to have the small kitchen facilities. Enjoyed the pool and beds up on the roof which during our stay were very quiet, pool very small but large enough to have a dip and stretch off. The gym facilities were a bit of a joke and I think they could make better use of the space. The local area around the hotel has lots of places to eat and drink and the restaurants in this area are far better value than those in the old part. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

Our family stayed in Goldstar in May, 2014. Everything in the hotel was just perfect, especially location, helpful staff and heated outside swimming pool. I definitely will stay there again next time.

We spent three nights at this hotel at the end of our Provence holiday. Finding a hotel that allows two children in the room, not to mention that has room for two extra beds is not easy. Goldstar Resort is a good and affordable choice when travelling with older children. Large bathroom with two sinks, which is essential when travelling with a teenage girl...
Apartments are close to everything, shopping, restaurants, the beach. Receptionists very helpful on arrival as we had two vans full of luggage, and practically blocked the street outside when unloading. The locals were furious!
Elevators are awful in summer, when the sun is on the glass all day. I would even say high risk if something happens and they get stuck! You would faint after a short while in the heat. Should be airconditioned!
Never tried the breakfast as we made our own in the room. We had booked two junior suites, and the pictures shows a dining table and chairs. Only of the suites had this....Beds were great - both the main bed in the bedroom and sofabed for the kids. The rooftop pool is not worth thinking of if you have older kids - but maybe for the young ones. Ours found it boring. We spend every day at the beach, which is merely a 5 min. walk. Carrefour City just 100 m down the block for groceries. 10-15 min walk to the train station. Will stay again when travelling with the kids.

Room Tip: Make sure your room has the dining table if you have booked the junior suite and you are four people! Eating in bed was a bit of a downer....
