“Perfect base for a beautiful city break!”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

Hotel is just perfect for a city break. The bus ride from the airport is so easy(and cheaper than the 30euros a taxi ride would be) and stops right outside the hotel. The park opposite is stunning and provides a lovely place to sit when the beach is too hot or busy. Rooms clean and tidy...spacious too. Had a beautiful view from ours overlooking park and could just see the sea too! The breakfast included was fresh...and plentiful...No other facilities but for a city break...who wants to spend time in the hotel when Nice has so much to offer!

Room Tip: The ground floor of this hotel is a bar...a tad noisy(or just adds to the atmosphere depending on yo...

What a ignorance at the reception. Rooms are ok. They are rude and impolite!
Young Girls come in and get out the hole Night long...what a shame for that location! We are a couple and staid for two nights only before changing the hotel...The employees begins to work at 9 am only...Spend 50€ more and you'll find a good Hotel in the Center of Nice wich is not big at all!
Have a good stay at Nice:-)

Room Tip: Anderes Hotel wählen! Das wirkliche Zentrum ist klein und in Minutendistanz von überall her bestens...

Our room 305 had a fantastic view over gardens and the sea. The room although small was adequate and was tastefully refurbished,a kettle would have been appreciated, great position , small reception area but very helpful staff. Lots of cafes near by so didn't try breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

Well It was a hot summer. When we landed to Nice Airport I thought that we will melt on the road while trying to find the hotel. Whel I was mistaken because Albert Premier is just in the centre looks both to a big park and corte dazur.. Hotel has given the bus stop his name from that you can easily understand its from 19th century when the city was being built.

Rooms are still in old style but cosy. We totally liked the hotel. The reception ladies were soooo kind.

It felt like home when we turned everyday from different locations nearby like Cannes Antibes Eze Monte Carlo St Tropez etc.

Highly Recommended for young and energetic travellers who want to experience a Corte Dazur vintage vacation.

Room Tip: choose room which looks to park. good view it has. -master yoda.

The Albert 1er is a 19th Century Building renovated some years ago and in need of a another face lift soon.
While esthetically it might not be as alluring as some of the other hotels on the Promenade de Anglais, it is ideally located right in the middle of Old Nice and New Nice where everyhting from the beach, restaurants, shops and tram line are just steps away. For the price you pay to stay, the amazing concierge, and exceptional location, you will over look the older style furnishings, aging washrooms and thick cement walls (which sometimes make wifi signal a pain) hardly an issue.
The desk staff is very helpful and will have train schedules to Monaco and Cannes on hand along with information about good restaurants, ferries and boat cruises.
If your coming or going to the airport, take the bus! The bus stops right infront of the hotel hire a taxi unless your willing to pay upto 45 euros deending on the crazy traffick along the Promenade de Anglais; the Bus is faster and only costs 4 euros!

Room Tip: Unless you want to be facing other rooms or an ugly courtyard, chose an ocean facing room.

The hotel is in the best spot in Nice. 1 min walk to old town, shopping Street and the beach. the rooms are big, renovated and clean. There is no lobby or a great entrance but for this price you can not find a better place.

Room Tip: try to stay on the upper floors, I stayed at the second floor and there was some noice coming from t...

Newly renovated 19th century Hotel in a noisy part of the Promenade. Although the Hotel overlooks a park, the street noise and music from adjacent hotels resonate quite well onto the terraces. Amenities are at a minimum but the price certainly reflects this. Internet was spotty at times and required full log in on a regular basis.
Request a terrace for the few extra bucks if you want a great view of the scenery but be aware that on hot days, the sun belts down on this side of the hotel hard.

Room Tip: Terrace if you don't mind the scorching sun
