WOW that was more then we expected:) The room was not bad and bed was really comfy. All the staff was really nice and helpful. They try to organize a lot of party's ( spaghetti night ). Hotel was really close to Old Town - 10 min walk, and its 5 min away from the train station which is handy if you want to go visit Monaco or Cannes. We were really enjoying stay there and its great value for money. Merci beaucoup to all the staff :)

My friend and I stayed in Nice for 3 nights and stayed in a private double with en suite. The room was really clean, our towels were changed every day and there was even a balcony. On the night we arrived the there was a spaghetti night for 3 euros which included wine and popcorn, it was a great way to socialize with other people. On another night there was a free champagne party with unlimited refills of champagne which was great to make friends and go out afterwards! A really sociable hostel with friendly staff would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for just one night, we had booked a mix dorm but got a private room on arrival for the same price. Margo at reception was great, she invited us to a nice beach with others in the hostel which we wouldn't have found otherwise ! 3 euro past and wine night was an added bonus ! Can't fault it, if you're looking for a hostel this is the one !

We certainly did not enjoy our stay in hotel baccarat. We are two young girls doing a europe trip and felt uncomfortable around the staff Especially this one guy possibly the owner. One time he was staring at the front of ny shirt for quite some time saying that he just wanted to read what is written on my shirt. Another time he wanted to take us by car into the old town which is just a 5 minute walk away. The central location near the train station and the free champagne are actually the only good things we found about that hostel.
When we arrived we checked into the 12-bed dorm, where our beds were not made until about 7pm. The next morning we woke up and saw a bed bug crawling over the pillow. According to mouth droppings in the hallways, we were not the only room
With bed bugs. The good thing was that we were upgraded to a twin bed room apparently the best room in the hotel. In exchange we were not to tell the other people in our room about the bed bugs, just telling them that there was a problem, which we ignored of course and told them the truth. The new room was not that much better though: ripped curtains, dirty showers, hair everywhere on our towels and bed sheets and we found a cherry in our drain. Dirty also described the kitchen. It felt like nobody knew how to clean. In a stack of plates i did not find one entirely clean plate. Pots and pans were mainly broken and 8 stoves were definetely not enough for the shared kitchen of two hostels.
We were just glad that we only booked two nights, because the hostel gave us a hard time enjoying Nice.

Great experience overall, welcoming staff, and clean. A hostel that changes the sheets and gives you fresh towels everyday is a huge plus! Only downside of sharing one shower with 6 other people, but it ended up not being a big problem. Check this place out for a great deal.

This is a good hostel, well kept, clean and friendly. The staff were friendly. I stayed in a 6 bed room, with an ensuite. There is aircon in the room if you need it. There were 3 bunks, and each bunk had 2 lockers underneath for security. There is a kitchen, computer room, hangout areas, a courtyard. There is good wifi on each floor.
The hostel is extremely close to the train station (there are a few different ones though so make sure it's the right one). I came from the airport, which required a bus to the station and a walk. It's not far from the beach, maybe a ten minute walk down a nice strip of shops.
Overall a lovely stay.
(I would recommend day trips from nice, either to ville-franche-sur-mer, les antibes, cannes or monacco. all are easy to get to, and i spent most of my time not actually in nice. Though Nice is lovely too.)

Hostel baccarat was one of the best hostels I've ever seen. It's very clean, and the reception feels like a hotel. The atmosphere is also amazing. Every 2 nights or so there is "spaghetti night" where all the guests come together for €3 unlimited pasta, wine and popcorn. It might not sound Ike much but it really gives travellers a chance to mingle and have a cheap feed. The facilities are also really great and there's heaps of space. The location is also great, being so close to the train station and an easy walk to the beach, shops and a supermarket. This hostel greatly contributed to my enjoyment of Nice. Worth every cent!
