Stayed one night to break journey. Location of this hotel is ideal for the Nice Ville railway station. The staff were pleasant on arrival. The room was tiny, with dark brown decor, and smelt badly of drains. As it was a warm July night the window had been sealed shut, the (noisy) air conditioner was on full to cool it, but the smell was so horrible that the noise of the street was more bearable rather than the stench. In the morning, opening the dark brown curtains revealed a wall opposite with derelict looking windows, one hanging off its frame - most depressing view I've ever had. Also, I was not aware of any instructions in case of fire.

Our family stayed here for 2 nights in July (25th to 27th). The family room was clean and comfortable with air conditioning and a lovely bathroom. Bit of a hike up to the beach in the hot sun, but lots to see on the way.
Staff were nice and appreciated our attempts to communicate in French. The area isn't the best looking part of town but we felt perfectly safe (we are from London afterall :) ). Head down the side streets for pedestrian free areas full of reasonably priced meals and lots of people watching

This is an average hotel which is very good when you look for cheap rooms in Nice. The hotel offers nothing more than clean rooms with big bathrooms but that was totally what we expected for this price. Som epeople say the area around it is dangerous but we didnt't feel unsafe at any time so it was no problem for us. Maybe the location was positive for us as some cheap restaurants were nearby.
The hotel is located about 20min by foot to the sea and the old town.

This hotel is near the train station and near to the main street of Nice, Avenue Jean Médecin. This avenue is perpendicular to the coast, and the hotel is near at the end opposite to the sea.
The area is filled with ethnic restaurants. I suggest to pay attention walking on the streets near the hotel by night... nothing bad happened to us (I only received an offer about buying weed, that I declined) and rather we have made friends, but it's not healthy to assume that everybody is oh so friendly!
Overall the area was good and full of restaurants, and the proximity to the centre very appreciate.
The hotel itself was clean and the room was suitable. The bathroom a little bit small and lacked an hair-dryer (which we got at the reception).

This hotel is in an unsafe location. It is not far from the nicer part if town but you have to go through a couple blocks of a shady area to get there. The hotel is run down. The beds are terrible. The service is also pretty bad. There seems to only be one person working there at a time.

This budget hotel comes highly recommended . Very affordable considering the location. Some reviewers mention the location as seedy but the area is totally non threatening. There are sometimes groups of coloured men chatting in small groups in the immediate locality but at no time were there any problems ...quite unwarranted comments. Felt safe at all times ..even late at night...into early hours of morning.

Hotel staff were very friendly and soon had room number off pat ...no need to remind them. Room was basic but clean ....air conditioning was great as it was very hot. Have stayed in 4 star superior room in Nice Hotel ( on sea front ) at 4 times the price and to be honest this little hotel was more appreciated....much more friendly.

Location is great ...near to shops , railway and trams. Walk into Nice Old Town or even the sea front is a lovely flat walk and very easy . We visit Nice on a regular basis as it it such a lovely place and this is definitely a hotel that we would use again as it represents great value for money . It would appear that refurbishments are ongoing as one or two things do need tweaking but as far as value as value for money is concerned this little establishment cannot be faulted.

Room Tip: Room did not overlook main street so was in a quiet location. Air conditioned room meant that window...
