Just come back from a great week staying at this hotel. The staff is the best feature in this hotel. We arrived at 10 in the morning to be told that our room was not ready, this did not surprise us,but the receptionist was quite taken aback that we were so understanding. The hotel is in a lovely location and near to all you need, and having the beach opposite and a long promenade made good for the long walks,or you can enjoy the pool or bar area of the hotel. The pool area is quite small and could be tricky to get a place in high season. The bar prices were expensive as well, but you should expect this in this type of hotel.Nice is an expensive place anyway so the drinks and food can be pricey anywhere. If i wanted to pick on something,it would be the meal we had there one evening,i expected it to be a lot better,it was very bland and tasteless, and the waiter who served us said that they relay all the comments back to the chefs. All in all a great week with staff to match.

Room Tip: get a sea view

Dear guest, thank you for your valuable feedback.
The Palais de la Mediterranee enjoys one of the finest locations in Nice. Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea on the illustrious Promenade des Anglais, views from the hotel's famous terrace take in the sparkling Baie des Anges that denotes France's dazzling Cote d'Azur.
As you evoke, we are very proud of our staff, which completes the experience for all of our customers.
Concerning our Restaurant Le 3e, we are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. For the Palais de la Mediterranee, providing a high-quality food and beverage service in the restaurant is a priority. So, as the waiter explained, we always relay all the comments back to our Chef.
We hope to welcome you again soon and make you appreciate our Cuisine in the Restaurant Le 3e.

Arrived at the Palais June 3rd,2011 for a three night stay. We we're upgraded to Suite 629 "Soliel", exceptional. No sooner we're we shown in, a staff member arrived with champagne on ice, cookies and fruit. Felt totally spoiled! Service thru out was five star, always greeted by name asnd treated like gold. This was our fourth stay at Le Palais de la Mediterranee and not our last. I'm just not sure how we will manage to afford 629 !
Thank you so much staff and management of the Palais, can't wait to return!

Room Tip: Best suite 629! All water view rooms are perfect.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback about your stay at Palais de la Mediterranee. Our hotel opened in 2004 after an ambitious restoration project. The hotel is therefore very young. But we believe it is important to regularly upgrade the hotel to meet customer expectations. So we started a renovation project of the hotel. We hope you will enjoy our renovated rooms during your next trip in Nice.

Hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful. Our room was great, we'd booked a suite on a discounted deal we got direct from the hotel, which was amazing value. The hotel is on the world famous promenade de anglais and is really well located for both shopping and eating. Bar and restaurant are a little on the small side if the weather isn't great, the hotel really relies on people being able to eat outside. Good facilities and some nice touches, housekeeping visited 2 times per day and left 2 small bottles of water by the bed. There was some work being done on some rooms in the hotel but we were notified in advance and the disruption was minimal. All in all a really great stay in this hotel and would definitely consider staying again.

My husband and I loved our stay at this hotel during our honeymoon. The location can't be beat. The hotel itself is very nice. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. There is a large indoor and outdoor connecting pool, a small gym, and a casino next door. The breakfasts were outstanding and included lots of hot and cold food choices. Our room was a decent size by US standards and had a large balcony that faced the side street, but still had a partial sea view. The room was nicely appointed with modern furnishings and bathroom. The wifi was free and the connection was strong throughout the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in the hotel with my wife and two boys aged 7 and 10. We stayed for 6 nights just outside the peak season (which was in april 2010) so the hotel was not too busy. We were able to stay in two adjacent rooms, we had one and the kids had the other- BLISS.

Our rooms were superb and both overlooked the pool and the Med sea. Although not hugh the rooms are very well fitted out with spacious wardrobe space and loads of shelf room. There is a flat screen tv but it does not have any english speaking stations except BBC news and a sports channel and CNN. The bathrooms are excellent as well and the corridors are wide and the room doors have that heavy expensive feel.

Staff are excellent as well and very helpful and friendly. My son cut his toe and was fussed over by a staff member who was trained in first aid. Well done that man.

The pool area, while small has an inside as big as the outer area, both connected. The outside lacks however lacks the space for a hugh number of sun loungers, which in high season could be a problem. The pool is situated on the level which visitors have lunch so you have to content with people passing by the glass screens and gawking at you, if thats a problem for you.

The gym area is beside the pool and is small but while we stayed there i was the only person to use it. Machines are fitted out with ipod/iphone docks to record your workout or programme your own.

The bar area is comfortable and has a piano. It is however 5 star prices, so be prepared for a wallet hit. For a better time and better prices head for the old town for a walk among the local french restaurants which sit next to an excellent irish bar, which you get real Guinness and can watch rugby and other home games in english.

Except for the pool there is nothing else for the kids to do as the hotel does not market itself towards kids. Dont let this be a problem as the hotel is situated right on the beach front and a short walk from the old town, you will only be there to sleep, eat breakfast and swim.

Dear guest, thank you for your valuable feedback about your stay at Palais de la Mediterranee.
As you explain, our 5 stars hotel offers beautiful and spacious accommodations (from 35 to 45m2) for a comfortable stay. We are currently renovating many rooms and a part of the public area of the hotel.
With its indoor/outdoor pool, sauna, hammam and terrace overlooking the Bay of Angels, the hotel amply earns its wings as a veritable urban resort. Not to mention the adjacent casino and concert hall!
During the summer, the Palais de la Mediterranee goes into partnership with the private beach “Le Sporting” for all our guests who want to relax on the beach instead of lazing in the sun near the pool.
We are happy you enjoyed our gym area. This fully-equipped Fitness Centre has the latest in cardio-vascular exercise facilities and stretching, toning and weight bearing equipment.
If you wish, we can arrange private, customised fitness sessions in our fitness centre for your next stay!
