Nice room, the stuffs are very friendly and helpful.
I love the swimming pool and the restaurant besides it!!!
The hotel shuttle is complementary and frequent, the driver was very funny!
Close to the airport, so i could get up later, what a great thing for me !!!

My wife and I celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary in Nice and marked the occasion with a marvellous stay in the Palais De La Mediterranee. The little touches which the hotel staff underook to mark the occasion, backed up by excellent food, accommodation and service made the trip one to remember and this is definitely the best furnished standard room we have ever experienced. Congratulations to everyone involved.

Wonderful experience with Le Palais - we were staying a few days 15-18 Oct and mentioned it was our anniversary - got upgraded to a great sized room - clean, modern, spacious. Went out day 1 and when we returned had cakes and nice card to congratulate us again complimentary. Location is superb 5 mins into old town. The only thing that lets this place down is the bar /food area on the 3rd floor - its a little average but then again you wouldnt really eat/drink here unless you have to

Try and get a rate incl breakfast - its worth it!!

Fantastic - the rooms, the view, the service and the location. The "cheapo" room was spacious, clean, modern and had a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean (side view.) The service was top notch, everyone was helpful and friendly (in France!) and spoke English perfectly (except the maids.) Service was top notch - anything you needed was there in a flash. We traveled with a small child, and they even brought kids slippers.

Breakfast on the 3rd floor patio overlooking the Mediterranean is wonderful. Upscale buffet with fresh everything. But at euro 27.00 per person - ouch!

Location is right on the beach, but with special shutters and double-paned windows, you couldn't hear a peep at night. One block from the main shopping street, which is very pedestrian friendly. 15 minute walk straight down the street to the train station for day trips to Cannes, Monaco or wherever you want to go (and straight means straight - you can't get lost unless you turn off the street.)

Downside - Expensive amenities. Everything at the hotel is 8x retail. But there is a Spar mini-supermarket three blocks down, so you can enjoy beer, wine and snacks on your balcony without being in the poor house. The "private beach" is euro 17.00 per person per day for a chair and a towel on a very rocky beach. The pool was a bit too cold for us, but tolerable

Special find - AMEX Travel: Buy the cheap room at euro 187,00 per night, get a free upgrade from city view to partial ocean view, get free breakfasts (saved us euro 54.00 per day), and one complimentary lunch (another euro 60.00).

We stayed for four days in mid-September, and it rained for three of them. Thank goodness we were in this hotel and not some small "cute" place. This is right across the Blvd des Anglais from the water and I would highly recommend spending the extra for a water view. We lucked out and got Room 902, top floor, with nice water view and a balcony for the late afternoon wine, cheese, and baguette, plus a huge bath by Euro standards. Do ask for directions on how the shower works- it's not at all intuitive. Concierge service, especially Vincent, was very good for side trips, restaurants, etc. Excellent breakfast, so no need to go anywhere else. Parking at 30 Euros per day is very high, but there are no other choices if you have a car.

Palais de la Mediterranee is a luxurious hotel strategically located in Nice in the beautiful Promenade des Anglais - this is right by the sea, relatively close to the airport and walking distance from Old Nice. Rooms and bathroom have good sizes, are modern and comfortable. Our room also had a nice balcony, however it faced an internal patio, so it had no view at all. Hotel staff was helpful, professional and responsive. Hotel also has valet parking, free wireless internet in rooms and a pool (medium size). We were very fortunate with the weather, so managed to enjoy the nearby beach during our stay.

We loved our stay here and were glad to pay extra for the superior side view of the sea. These rooms have a wonderful view of the beautiful courtyard below and ample exposure to the Mediterranean. The staff was professional and helpful. Room was a bit small but very nicely appointed...sleek....huge marble bathroom with separate toilet, tub, and shower and two sinks. Free wireless. Full breakfast was included...on the outdoor terrace. Pleasant swimming pool (large enough for laps) that spans inside and outside...small but adequate fitness center. No drawer space but decent sized closet. Noisy road outside but automatic shutters at window helped reduce it at night. Nice terrace with table and chairs. Good location...near the old town area and good shopping. We found Brasserie Flo ...about 15' walk away...a good eatery in a town not known for its dining. Took a group tour of the old town...3 hours on foot...good value. If you visit the Russian Cathedral be sure to check hours that it is open...we walked all the way over there and found it was closed midday. Also the little "train" is fun...takes you up the hill to the old castle area....nice views from there. Matisse Museum was disappointing but Chagall Museum was worth a visit. Fenocchio gelato a must but you might need to visit more than once, as there as so many flavors. Walking to the port area was interesting but dining around there is limited. Beware...taxi to airport is expensive....32 euros for a five mile drive.
