We had 4 idyllic days in Nice staying at this hotel. We booked through Airline Network & got a fabulous deal & our room, although it looked out over the mountains, provided us with fantastic views whilst sitting on our balcony. We visited mid April & the weather was fantastic which meant we could sit out on the lovely balcony for drinks & even breakfast one morning. When we phoned down for ice for our 'own' bottle of wine, room service promptly brought up ice with glasses & offered to open the bottle for us - a first for us! That's what I call service.

The room was very modern, spacious & extremely comfortable. Hotel staff were very pleasant & helpful. Dining outside for breakfast was a real plus.

We visited Cannes & Monte Carlo by train which were also fantastic but really loved the superb cafes & restaurant within minutes of the hotel. We also found a fabulous cheese restaurant for dinner in the old town which was another fantastic experience.

We've been meaning to do Nice for a long time & finally got round to it this year & we'll be back very soon. The hotel itself contributed
greatly to our experience & we would really suggest people stay here if they are planning to visit.

Great location, fantastic hotel & superb eating out. WOW!

Booked 2 rooms at the Palais de le Mediterranee for a business trip and family get together. The hotel only allows one child per room, so we asked for adjoining rooms with one child bed in each room. We were given written confirmation that this would be no problem and given price of rooms in advance. When we arrived they only had one room reserved and we were told that they originally did have us down for 2 rooms but one had been cancelled by a clerk that was off for a few days. They had no idea why she had done this, but said there was nothing they could do and that the hotel was booked solid and they did not have another room. After refusing to leave until we spoke to the manager we were advised that he was not in, but they did manage to find us another room. Not only were our rooms not adjoining but they were on totally different floors, which we were able to make do, but certainly not what we had reserved. Too top things off, the price for the second room was not what was quoted in writing. The hotel refused to take responsiblity for cancelling one of the rooms and therefore charged an addition 110 euro for the second room. This was a 3 day stay and although we tried repeatly to speak to the manager, he was never available. We have written letters to the hotel and gotten nowhere.

On the positive side the rooms were very nice and a good size for Europe. The location is excellent and the common areas of the hotel were beautiful. But none of this made up for the way we were treated and the mixup with our reservations.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Palais. We had booked 3 deluxe sea facing rooms for a family celebration but were allocated only 2 rooms sea facing and one to the side. The sea facing rooms were on corners of the building, were quite small -at least 6 feet shorter than those alongside and there was no separate shower only a hand held telephone shower attachment with an inadequate screen which left the floor flooded. Reception tried to convince us that the rooms were all the same category despite a considerable price difference for side view rooms. Although initially offering to find us better rooms this did not happen and we were palmed off with a complimentary cocktail each. Breakfast was like a scrum some mornings as we struggled to find a glass for juice or even a croissant before they ran out.
The Palais is on a fantastic site near the Old Town and overlooking the Promenade des Anglais but we were very disappointed that the rooms we had were not all sea facing and certainly not deluxe.

booked a deluxe room with sea view - but when we got there we were facing the city - moved quickly to another room overlooking the terrace but just a glimpse of sea through the facade. Stayed there one night and then were moved to one of the few rooms with anything like a sea view - we were given a bottle of fiz and some chocolates as a peace offering and the rest of our stay was excellent. The new room was excellent with several televisions (never tried them), an espresso machine and a nice balcony. The rest of the hotel was excellent, good breakfast, helpful, friendly staff plus all the usual stuff you expect from a decent hotel - bathrobes, slippers, and proper toiletries.
The hotel is ideally situated on the prom within easy walking distance of the old town. Would recommend l'anne rouge (red ass!) for a good meal plus lots of cheaper places in the market area and the old town.
But just a word of warning - if you like a 'real' unobstructed sea view there aren't may such rooms in this hotel.

Stayed for 4 nights and could not fault the hotel in any way. From the time we checked in to the time we left everyone was nice and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

We booked a deluxe sea view room through gta hotels and though the room was fantastic. Separate bath and shower, magnifying mirror, separate toilet, very comfy beds, beautiful decorations, flatscreedn Bang & Olafson TV, view of the terrace throughthe facade to the sea. What more could you ask for?

The breakfast was lovely - everything you could think of. I diagree with any negative comments. All the staff were very, very helpful.

It was very easy to get to - the 98 bus from the Airport stopped just up the road. The road is easy to cross - just use the crossings. When you get there take the Happy Train to Le Chateau - lovely views across the City.

The station is a 15 - 20 minute walk where there is great access to Monaco and Monte Carlo - 15 minutes ever saw so many flash cars), Cannes - 40 minutes and the Italian Riviera - 50 minutes. We also took the Ligne d'Azur bus to Villefranche and Beaulieu - 30 minutes. Take the lovely walk across to Cap Ferrat from the Beaulieu sea front about 45 minutes.

All in all - a great stay and a magnificent hotel
