I appreciate this is a low budget place, and I do not have high expectations as I've stayed in hostels and cheaper places before, but in a nutshell, it's really just not worth it.

Pros:
- Extremely helpful and friendly cleaner (although she did not speak any English, I didn't feel it was an issue).
- Clean enough room, but I did find a bit of hair in the drain and 2 hairs on the bunk bed (so basically if you're not a neurotic about cleanliness it is quite decent)
- Very decent furnishings with all basics provided
- Could turn up on the day and it would be 57 euros a night (which is cheap if shared with 3 others)
- Wi-fi worked fine although a little slow occasionally
- A Lidl was 5 minutes walk away so could get some budget food / water / snacks for the road trip

Cons:
- Advertised that it was fully air conditioned but it turns out it can only blow out warm air the whole night, making it well over 25 degrees and HUMID.
- Had to keep windows open every single night and traffic outside was LOUD and constant throughout the night, even though we were on the 6th floor and not even quite facing the main street - and as someone who has slept through INTENSE thunderstorms in Asia, I still suffered sleepless nights.
- Advertised for 24 hour reception which isn't quite accurate as we arrived during their 2 hour lunch break and were left with no option but to pay using card on an automated machine, which meant additional charges from my bank and a bad exchange rate which wasn't ideal.
- On arrival, we asked for help through the speaker phone, and the receptionist whom didn't speak much English told us to come back later. When we asked for help again through the speaker phone 1 minute later, but for parking advice, he chose to ignore us as he assumed he could not help us.
- Parking required us to put in a code through 3 gates to get through (which is no real issue) but the process of attaining the code was long and tedious and we had to ask fro help on the first day several times from others driving in
- A very horrible location although we had no issue with that ourselves as we had a car, but otherwise, you'd be stuck in a very dismal run-down area
- Although the car park area was kept clean and tidy, it was an awful walk. If you happen to be alone, trying to find the light switch whilst going through 5 separate dingy and damp corridors, one of which smelt of sewage, you would find it creepy and unsafe. I was very glad to have company with me on every occasion.
- The bedroom did smell very damp/odd when we walked in but once we kept the windows open the whole night, it did seem to go away, so it didn't become an issue for ourselves.
- Breakfast for 6 euros was probably not worth it, I would have been just about fine to pay 5 euros simply for convenience. There was bread, cornflakes, yogurt and the usual drinks, all very basic as expected. Pressed for coffee on the machine and it gave me hot chocolate which I found mildly amusing.

My conclusion is that if you're not planning on staying over the summer period, you don't mind the odd hairs, you aren't scared of dark dingy corridors, you only need basic customer service (or in this case a machine), you can sleep through a thunderstorm / loud traffic, and you REALLY are on a tight budget, then go ahead and book this place. Otherwise, just pay a few euros extra to treat yourself to a better stay. Honestly.

The hotel was extremely warm, although there was air conditioning units in the room the rest of the hotel's air conditioning seemed to be switched off, you couldn't open the window because of the constant traffic noise.
Parking was virtually impossible unless you paid extra and used the underground parking.

The Male receptionist was the most unhelpful person we have come across. There were no city maps available, there was no assistance for using the local bus service which had a bus stop right outside the front door. When we eventually were able to get a map of the city he would not indicate where the hotel was on it.
We would definitely not stay at this hotel again.

We regularly stay with the IBIS brand but will never stay at one of their budget hotels again.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and picked it because it was reasonably priced and close to the Nice Airport.

From start to finish we had a horrible time with this hotel. We arrived after reception was closed and had to use the self-check in machine (as we had expected). What wasn't noted on the website was that parking is only accessible when reception was open. This left us with street parking, which would have been fine except we had no idea what the overnight parking regulations were in the area- and we didn't want to risk having our car towed with an early flight.

There was no way to access any type of support staff to answer our question about street parking beyond an operator (FYI french-only) who had no idea. We eventually drove to another hotel to try to figure out regulations and discovered that overnight parking wouldn't be a problem.

A simple sign for late arriving guests letting them know about street-parking would be useful if they don't plan on having a 24 accessible parking garage.

Other downsides: no toilet paper in the room, advertised Wifi didn't work and windows were very thin- the celebration of a football victory kept us awake most of the night.

We'll continue to stay with Ibis but will not stay with their budget hotels which does not have a 24 hour reception available.

Firstly the location was not where we'd expected it to be as we'd confused it with the other Ibis Budget in Nice by the water (NB it's called Californie Lenval and looks to be a better option if you can get it).

Once we got over that it was an ok stopover location. No real parking - just take type chances on the Street (but that's Nice). Orange was the wifi provider and it's really difficult to connect with a mobile device. Another Accor hotel had the same provider and we worked it out, but we couldn't be bothered this time.  Air conditioning was too hot and we couldn't seem to change it. Breakfast at 5,95 € was convenient and good value. Pizza place down stairs was good for takeaway for tired travelers.

Overall it was pretty much what you would expect from Budget Ibis (formally Etap) - a bed, shower and clean.

Passing Nice in a little tour of Cote d'Azur, this is a good hotel, a bit outside the city center, ok if you travel with car. Nice rooms, clean, good price.
Parking ok.
Staff nice.
We didn't try the breakfast, better the french "boulangerie"

This was a good hotel for a quick one-night stay in Nice.
The room was clean and had only the basics, the breakfast was very local, and the management seem to be a family, but it is not well connected and is a bit far from the city center.
The door closes at 10pm, and thus no one is allowed to get in without the pass code given at check in.
All in all it is average quality but very good to the price offered. After all it is an Accor.
