“Nice petit Hotel”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

I've spent 4 nights here at the end of july. My opinion about crew and staff is great. Everyone has been so kind and aware. Chatting with them has been friendly and clear. Lock system of main door and room's door is working and it has been safe. Really comfortable for card keys and code to text when main door entrance is close. I had a room at 4th floor, but there is a good elevator with a cool mirror inside. My room was quite small. Yes, but it is OK ! Maybe just shower might give some problems if you are oversize. Hotel is nearby main areas of the city. You can get everywhere easily. Train Station included. There's even a Monoprix market open till midnight only 5 minutes by walk. Hotel's street seemed safe and generally quiet. I'll back!

You get what you pay for. Cheap but small. Small but great. I think is a very good place to stay for a
Little holiday if you don't want to spend too much money but you want to stay in the city center and 5 minutes by walk to the see. We had the studio with the mini kitchen and we found it perfect to cook our meals. Really nice staff.

The people at the reception were so friendly, offering you things and helping you all the time. The rooms are not big, but they have everything you need, the small kitchen is very useful. The space is used efficiently, so it feels bigger than it actually is. The location is perfect, especially when you travel by train. It is situated right between the station and the beach very near the main street of Nice but not too busy. It is everything you could wish for the price you pay which is very reasonable.

Stayed here for one night in June 2014.

+Great location, near the train-station
+Receptionist talked good english and she was wery helpful
+Cooking-corner and a fridge in the room
+Not too noisy, you can sleep at night

- Very strong (bad) smell of some kind of cleaning liquid in the hall and the stairs. We could smell it a little bit in the room also.
-No ventilation in bathroom!
- Receptionist isn't always in reception. We had to ask a cleanig-lady to go and get her. If you are leaving early in the morning it would be a good idea to tell your check-out-time earlier.

I am very satisfied with my stay here. Alexis, the night staff for all 3 nights I stayed for, has been extremely helpful. I arrived pass midnight due to a slight delay in my flight and he had waited patiently and wasn't upset. He was helpful to guide me through my travels locally and the trip to Monaco. The location of the hotel was excellent, few minutes walk from the main train station, an within walking distance to the beach & Acropolis convention centre. I did not have to take any public transport in Nice. The air conditioning was definitely helpful in the hot Nice weather. It's often difficult to communicate in France if one doesn't speak French but the hotel staff has made me feel very much at home and looked after. Thank you.

Dr Choo

The two best things about this spot were its location, and its staff. Easy walking distance from the train station, very close to shopping and close enough to easily walk to beautiful Old Nice. I had a very basic room. The bed was actually a cot and the bedding wasn't much more then you'd get at a basic hostel. I was traveling solo, and the floor space barely allowed room for my travel sized suitcase.

Overall, I would recommend this if you plan to spend most of your time exploring the city and only coming back to sleep!
