The tour is great, work out if there is a way to get a good translation. There is a lot of information presented in a very interesting and interactive way. However if French is not your mother tongue, then be aware that you are likely missing a few points due to the very specific vocabulary.
The tour and the instruments are very interesting. Traveling back in time and getting some cutting edge pieces of information on astronomy on one side and refreshing perhaps well hidden knowledge from high school or university.
Besides the theme of astronomy and astro mechanics, I recommend the tour for anyone with an interest in architecture and optics or simply history. Lastly even if you are coming simply to catch some breath taking views, that will be ok and worth your while. I went with my 5 year old, whom I had to translate the tour. Still truly worth it.
