We went on recommendation from our hotel clerk, who had pointed us in a good direction the previous evening. We were hoping to go to a highly rated restaurant on TA, but waited too long and it was full when we tried to reserve. It was only a block from the hotel and since it was late decided to give it a try. Views of the sea were gorgeous.
We were sat at a table in the middle of the restaurant but asked to be moved as there were wafts of sewer coming our way. There were four of us.
One had the special St. Jacque and Gambas (one huge prawn and three medium sized scallops). The plate looked a little disjointed and not well put together however my wife said that it tasted ok. One of us had the four cheese gnocchi with summer truffles. The gnocchi were soft and had a nice texture, but the sauce wasn't very rich or flavourful. The risotto special was also a bit lacking in flavour and it seemed like it was made too quickly and was not very creamy. I had a cheese burger with foie gras. It was ok at best. Not well executed. I asked for it medium, and it came rare, but decided to eat it anyway. The bun was not fresh and the flavours did not meld well together. Maybe it was the cheese. I was disappointed but the rest seemed to enjoy it. None of the plates were life changing and the bill was €120. Skip it and go elsewhere.
