“Ideal location, comfortable and well-equipped - the perfect base from which to explore the French Riviera!”
Reviewed 3 March 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Conveniently located close (5 mins) to the train station and bus stops and only a brief (10 mins) walk to the Promenade des Anglais, the apartment comes fully equipped with all life’s “essentials”, including wi-fi and satellite TV (French stations and UK Freeview TV channels), washing machine and microwave cooker. The double beds in each of the two bedrooms have comfortable (Dunlopillo) mattresses and down duvets and the kitchen/diner has a large table which will seat 6. The sitting room sports two comfortable couches and the entire apartment is very tastefully presented, with wall art depicting memorable moments and personalities from the world of Formula One motor racing - hence the name given to the apartment! There is a balcony with table and two chairs attached to one of the bedrooms which provides a pleasant (if small) area of outdoor space to sit with a coffee or glass of wine. As mentioned in an earlier review, the plumbing installation in the building which houses the apartment is not perfect, leading to a drop in water pressure during times of peak usage and this can impact on the flow of water to the shower, but such interruptions tend to be short-lived and are only a minor inconvenience, not uncommon in older-style continental plumbing systems. Clear and precise information on locating the apartment and a full panoply of local information - places to visit, local eateries, etc. are provided by the owner. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 week stay in Nuvolari, which became a real home-from-home for the two of us. We would certainly consider a return visit.

“Prime location. Beautifully furnished. Very well equipped. Very secure.”

Stayed here with sisters and friend. Lovely apartment. High quality furniture. So well equipped. Perfect location. 5 minutes to the train station and bus stops. Where we easily caught trains to Monaco and Nice. 10 minutes walk to Nice old town and 10 minutes walk down to The Promenade de Anglais. Lots of lovely restaurants. Definitely recommend the patisserie opposite the apartment for pastries, filled baguettes and very friendly service. Would highly recommend this apartment and hope to return.

“Excellent, home from home”
Reviewed 21 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Superb apartment with all the comforts of home.
Lovely décor, two comfy sofas in front of the TV (with Freesat & English channels), and excellent mattresses, linen & pillows on the beds.
Brilliant kitchen with all the equipment you could need, including lots of bits & pieces other apartment owners don't think to provide. WiFi worked a treat - seemed faster than I have at home.
The bathroom is lovely too, marble tiled, beautiful big basin, excellent towels and big shower.

Unusually for Nice, this place was VERY QUIET. The usual bin-emptying at night could hardly be heard unlike apartments closer to the centre of town.
Location isn't bad either, about 200 metres from the station (Gare Thiers), and if you come out of the courtyard gate only about 500 metres straight down rue Berlioz to the Negresco hotel on the Promenade des Anglais. Several small grocery shops nearby, and Monoprix supermarket about half a mile away where you can buy anything. Boulangerie directly across the road for morning croissants and bread.

Minor niggles?
Water pressure varies quite a bit and you can find yourself soaped up in the shower waiting for it to come back on again, but this is a building problem and probably not rare in Nice.
Fine bedroom curtains let light in in the morning which was OK for our winter visit but might be awkward at 4am in the summer.
The flat is on the 3rd floor which can be a trudge after a long day walking, so bear in mind if any of your party would struggle, but it's well worth the effort.

Thank you for your kind review! I am glad you enjoyed your stay and that the apartment was to your liking.

I agree the water pressure can be temperamental and am working with the building manager to resolve. It is an old building and not uncommon I think.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the curtains. Whilst there are shutters on the outside which can be closed to block the light, I agree, the curtains are light weight and I will look to 'beef' these up a bit! I am new to letting out my second home and therefore any good suggestions are always welcome :)

Thanks again.
