The hotel staff are never around, reception is always deserted, No breakfast, they offer you a 7 Euro breakfast but you can get a better one at half the price in the Brasseries near the Hotel. The rooms are too small, no elevators you have to climb up 3 flights of stairs several times a day. The only positives are the rooms are kept very clean and the hotel location is good. It is a waste of money staying in this hotel!

Positives:

- Very clean and well presented.
- Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
- Great location right in the centre of things (though not so great for the train station).
- Air conditioning.
- En suite.
- Flat screen TV.
- Free high speed internet access.

Negatives:
- Curtains didn't really block out the light so the room was still very light at night (it looked out onto a busy/well-lit street) which was a bit of a problem trying to get to sleep.
- No breakfast.
- A bit noisy at night.

The location couldn't be better. We stayed two nights before embarking on a cruise. Two blocks from the bus in from the airport, two blocks from the bus to the port. As was said before up 5 short flights to lobby. Room is small (would have been irritatingly so for a long stay) but serviceable. Room came with free wi-fi and a netbook of your own to use it. People running it couldn't be friendlier but were away some of the time (usually sipping coffee downstairs at the cafe). Would certainly recommend it to someone who is used to small European hotels.

Hotel Le Petit Trianon is on the 3rd floor without an elevator, however, if you call the hotel desk, the hotel manager would arrange for someone to come down and assist you with carrying the luggage up. It is located on one of the poshest streets and in a very central location of Nice . My room is small but very clean and neat. The bed mattress is of top quality. The colour scheme is very soothing. It has a small balcony to sit down and watch passer-bys. Thierry, the hotel owner is very friendly and very helpful. I would come back here again and more than happy to recommend it to friends and family.

We had a hard time finding this hotel, even with the address, since there is no lobby - you must climb three flights of stairs to get to the door (which in my case had a note that said they were out to lunch and would be back in half an hour). Once inside, there is a small entryway, then just a hallway with doors off of it. The rooms were small, but clean. The biggest, and most pleasant, surprise was the netbook computer in each room, available for guests to use with the WiFi in the hotel. We spoke with the owner afterwards, and he said he'd been providing the netbooks for 5 months, much to his fellow hotel owners' chagrin, and no one had taken one. We had a room on the street, but it is a pedestrian street, so no real vehicle noise at night. The location was great, and so for a short stay it was fine.

Thierry at the Hotel Le Trianon was warm, welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and in the center of a wonderful square. I would highly recommend this hotel and stay there again if we have the opportunity.

We loved the location of this hotel. Yes, it is on the 3rd floor, but that helps keep the price down. The rooms are nicely decorated, the bathroom has all the amenities and is done in marble & glass. and we LOVED having the netbook computer in the room. Very convenient. The hosts were friendly but not intrusive. They gave us a map the first day and were always nearby if we needed them. I was worried about the noise since it's so close to all the street performers on Rue Massena, but when the windows are closed you don't hear a thing. For 75E I don't think you can do better in Nice.
