We stayed at the Hotel Villa Les Cygnes for four nights at the end of July. We were a group of four couples and reserved all the available rooms. Everyone was delighted with their room. The hosts, Gildas and Lydian, were always available and were most helpful with our many questions. The breakfast on the patio was delicious. Well worth the extra 10 euro. We loved Nice and if we ever return, this hotel will be our first choice.

This is a lovely little gem in Nice but I try not to think about the close to $600 I spent for only 3 nights!! If you are up to spending that type of money, I highly recommend staying here. It is located away from everything but my husband and I walked almost everywhere and didn't find it too taxing. The owners were great - offering us helpful information and a welcome drink upon arrival. As mentioned in other posts, the breakfast is absolutely delicious - worth the extra 10 euros you have to pay, but you will have to wait until 8:30am for it to be served. Our room (#5) was very big with a nice spacious bathroom. Unfortunately, I accidentally reserved 2 single beds so hubby and I had to sleep in separate beds for the duration of our stay :( !! Otherwise we had a great time.

My teen daughter and I stayed at this lovely, immaculate, homey, and charming hotel for the first 5 days in July, and we were overwhelmed by the delightful accommodations and service. Our room No. 5 on the second floor was large and beautifully furnished, with a small deck and two chairs, and the bathroom was clean and especially large by European standards, with two separate sinks and mirrors. While the building itself has the charm of an old home--with nice wooden floors, glass chandelier, white linen curtains, and whitewashed shutters--all appliances (shower, toilet, sinks) are modern and efficient. The breakfast, for 10 euros and served in a little garden with a canopy of orange and palm trees, included more than we could eat--a basket of croissants and other French breads, fresh cafe au lait, fresh local fruit, French cheeses and ham, yogurt, OJ, and meusli. Gildas and Lydiane were as sweet and accommodating as they could be, and Gildas speaks English quite well. The walk to the Promenade des Anglais was 4 blocks, and the hotel provided us woven mats, towels and an umbrella to take to the beach. The weather was perfect the whole time, but after a long day of walking it was great to come back to a quiet room that was amply cool from the air conditioning. One block to La Musee des Beaux Arts and 3 blocks to the bus stop. I really can not say enough about how wonderful Villa Les Cygnes is. I have recommended it to all my friends!

We stayed at the Villa Les Cygnes for nearly a week while in Nice. It was excellent and made a great home base from which to enjoy the Riveria. This hotel has a great location and we were able to walk to old Nice in about 20 minutes and it was less than a 5 minute walk to the Promenades Anglaises. There are numerous fabulous restaurants within a 10 minute walk (especially la Maison Bleu), and it does not feel like a “touristy” hotel or area.
We had a big spacious room with terrace (room 5), lots of windows and natural light, a great king bed, super fast free WiFi, remarkable breakfasts (on a lovely and serene patio) for E10/person, and a friendly and helpful staff. The bathroom was fantastic and had a comfortable tub and double sinks. The shower had good water pressure, heaps of hot water, and high enough for a tall person (+6 feet). It was very relaxing to come back to Villa Le Cygnes after being out all day/night. We highly recommend this hotel.

We occupied 4 out of 6 rooms in our stay, so we practically had the place to ourselves.
Booking process was easy and straightforward by email.
At arrival all was set and the hosts were really helpful with providing whatever was required.
The property is just about 5 min walking from the beach, set in the middle for a quiet neighborhood, so a sound sleep with open windows is assured.
Breakfast is served in the back garden under a big orange tree - just beautiful, calm and relaxing
We required a bit more attention, having issues with our car and a hospital visit - in both cases, the hosts were of great assistance and ensure that our rather poor french-language skills were no hindrance.

All in all, a clear recommendation - keep it up.

My brothers and our respective partners stayed here for the Monaco Grand Prix. We received a wonderful welcome from Gildas and Lydiane. All the rooms were very well presented two had balconies, and No. 3 having a beautiful sun lounge.

The location is ideal and only a short walk through the Museum grounds to the Promenade. The area around Les Cygnes is quiet but central to the Promenade, and a short walk to the train station, with a little further to the Old Town.

From us arriving after a long journey with a welcome drink to all the helpful information and assistance they provided during our visit, nothing was ever too much trouble. Would highly recommend the breakfast but be prepared for a feast!

Gildas and Lydiane provide a 5* service and can rightfully be proud of the hard work that goes in to making this feel such a relaxing place to stay.
