Always on my list of places to go in Nice Old Town. Standards never drop in the high season unlike some local restaurants. Great service and perfect if you are in a rush.
Very lively crowd and excellent atmosphere on the terrace.
Watch out for the over-sized desserts.

Coming to view Nice and not trying this restaurant would be a big mistake. Evenings availability settings might be a long wait and with a good reason!
I have always been at lunch time since there were no queues to get a table and the quality of food explains the interest in this establishment since the cuisine is very much Italian with a wide range of local produce and flavours to get your taste buds wanting more.
I would keep coming back here every time in town at least once. Seafood spaghetti is an absolute favourite but a large menu with delicious dishes are optional. Excellent service overall.

La Voglia was recommended by one of my friends who said it was a 'must go for Italian food' if you were in Nice... Encouraged, I called to book a table but the restaurant does not accept reservations, so we decided to be there once they open in the evening. The service was quick, friendly and professional, the portions big (maybe even too big) and the food delicious. We ordered probably one of the best pizzas in the French Riviera, beef carpaccio, avocado and chicken salad, and my favorite spaghetti con frutti di mare. The photo enclosed - I have to admit - I ate it all. The way clams and mussels were cooked was almost perfect. It is quite rare to have this dish so real, so much 'home made' style but they managed. My tip for a dessert - take one for two. They are huge - actually our chocolate eclair (it was deliciously crispy) - was enough for three. One very small minus was the temperature of red wine - it was too warm, the same like the inside temperature - but overall quality of food compensates it all. When we were leaving there were many people waiting to get the table. One remark - it is not a sophisticated place for high life quiet events - it is a lively (could be even a bit noisy), busy and trendy place for a dinner with family or friends. Definitely worth visiting.

Can't go wrong here! Affordable prices, generous & delicious portions & excellent service! A shout out to Cyril, who was friendly, professional & very attentive even though he was crazy busy as the place was packed on a Saturday night. We sat inside as outside was full--air conditioned & roomy. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Nice & looking for a good place to with your family (but lots of couples too).

It was so good in every way that we went there also next evening for dinner. Spagetti Frutti di mare.
If you have to queue for a while it does not matter. There is enough staff in every positiivisia so you get a table before you know.
