We fancied a change from local food and this Cuban restaurant was close to our hotel on the Promenade. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table. It was a little dark (made for a good atmosphere) and the waitress offered us a torch to help read the menu which was a great touch. The menu was good with plenty of choice.Service was quick and the food very good. My wife actually commented that her choice ( a seafood pasta) was the best pasta she has ever eaten and we have travelled extensively in Italy! There was a good wine list and the cost was very reasonable. No offer of expensive bottled water. Cold tap water was provided and replaced regularily. There was a live singer which drew in locals, keen to practice their Cuban/latin American dancing which they did in some numbers and with great skill. We joined in with considerably less skill but nobody gave us a second glance and were very welcoming and encouraging.
An excellent night out.

We discovered this place around the corner from our hotel and after checking TA thought we should give it a go. So glad we did! We felt a bit bad going somewhere that wasn't French on our holidays but quickly stopped feeling guilty once we got our food. Prices are on the high side (around 16 Euro for a main) but portions were generous and food delicious. I had the poulet gumbo - chicken in a creole sauce with chorizo, and my boyfriend had the beef fajitas. We then had pineapple in rum for dessert which they come and set fire to at your table! The atmosphere was great - there was a guy there singing south american salsa-ish music and a giant fluorescent palm tree in the middle of the place, and some people dancing. We liked it so much we went back again on our last night, we both had the beef fajitas that time. Will definitely be going here again next time we're in Nice!

We had a great night in La Havane - good food and great cocktails. However it was the cuban atmosphere that made it - easy-going, fun, vibrant
Also one of the few bars open late in the area in April

Had a night out here, not for the first time,on Saturday 15th June. We intended stopping here for a dinner with a couple of drinks and moving on,however we ended up staying till nearly two in the morning the following day! Excellent Cuban food, good value too I'm pleased to report! Had a live band on too playing a mixture of Cuban and Merengue music, came on three times, they certainly managed to have the dance floor full!! The service was perfect too,a young Polish woman was our waitress for the evening, she was very attentive, polite and helpful.

Anyone looking for a good, fun night out in Nice, could do far worse than giving this place a go,as I pointed out,we've been here a few times, and will undoubtedly return many times in the future too!

Cuban restaurants are difficult to come by so I was excited to see this one in Nice. My partner and I both enjoyed our meals (kabobs and cuban-style fajitas) and ate so much we didn't have room for dessert so we had to go back another night so we could sample that as well. They had dancers practicing (in which other people joined in) and live music in the two times we were there. I also couldn't get enough of their pina coladas! Would definitely recommend.
