Sat at the circular table by the entrance and enjoyed not only the spectacle of the owner and his clients, but also the food and wine. Very personal and amicable service from the owner, real fun and informal with his idiosyncratic choice of furniture and fittings. Loved it. Will book ahead to get the same table. Food? Aubergine starters, stuffed ink-fish, salmon and pizzas. We enjoyed the lot - as we always try each other's food anyway.

My parents took us to this lovely little restaurant after they'd visited 3 times in a 2 week holiday and it did not disappoint.
We made our booking during the day with the eccentric owner, he was leaning out of the upstairs window, very traditional french- love it.
We were welcomed in on arrival and as it is still early in the season it was very quiet for 8pm, however by 9pm most tables were full. We figured this place must be a favourite amongst the french locals.
We were offered Chickpea 'pizza' instead of bread which was a nice change and delicious. Then selected the €27 menu [3 courses] normally you expect smaller sized dishes but these were huge and fantastic!! Great value for money.
The decor is so quirky and charming (I took lots of photos) The owner explained that his son is an artist and creates a lot of the pieces in the restaurant- very impressive.
We will certainly be returning, with more friends!!

When first entered the busy restaurant was quite annoied by the rude order of the owner to wait at the entrance..... then he "kindly" invited us to step upstairs into the most amazing waiting area ever...
The art coollection is quite impressive and someone sure must have a great taste... this could be a great hint of a wonderful place to eat!! Infact it was... small menu, not many options to choose from, but i guess if the dishes are good don't need to much choice. Had meat Tartare and Porc with creamy sauce, great apetizer with a good rose wine, desert and all for 60 euros for two!! See, my old theory that a good restaurant shoud not be expensive is still valid. Take your time and drive up to one of the nicest places around St Tropez.

This was the only restaurant open in Grimaud the one night we were there, which I'm very glad about, otherwise we might have missed it. Tucked away in a side street towards the very top of the village, a smallish dining room crammed with art, presided over by Monsieur, who really knows how to make it happen. Maybe not for everyone, but a character definitely!

The pissaladiere was excellent and huge (easily enough for two) and my terrine was also ample and delicious. The huge fresh tuna steaks were perfectly rare, and deliciously served.
Incredible value too at €60 for two of us

He doesn't take credit cards, so you'll need enough cash
