We have just spent a fabulous week at camping des mures, port grimaud and thought we would leave the first review for the site. Port Grimaud itself is a beautiful little town, a kind of mini venice with lovely views, restaurants and shops. Camping des Mures is a great site. It is about a mile down the coast road from Port Grimaud. There is a cycle/foot path directly from the site into town which is well lit at night. The campsite has its own section of beach which is beautiful with amazing views across to St Tropez. There is plenty of space on the beach and everyone tends to just leave their towels etc while they nip back to their tents for lunch. Our pitch was spot on, plenty of space, we even had a view of the sea through the trees. The facilities are excellent. Plenty of hot showers, sinks, toilets, washing up and laundry sinks. The facilities are kept really clean. The site has a handy little shop that sells fresh croissants, bread, veg, meat, drinks, tinned stuff etc. Also newspapers and beach stuff like umbrellas, buckets & spades etc. There is a really nice little restaurant and bar which has entertainment at night. We normally pick sites that have a swimming pool which camping des mures does not have. However, we didnt miss having a pool at all due to the lovely beach and clean blue sea. Whilst cycling around the area we had a nose around a couple of the other sites and decided we definitely liked our site best. If we come back to the area in the future we will definitely stay at camping des mures again.
