We were in a group of six people and we do loved sitting by the quaiside in St. Jean. The food was good and the service good as well. No gourmetfood but close to it.

Lovely setting - looking out on the port of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat.

However, while the staff are quite friendly, don't expect to be dazzled by the food on offer; it's uneventful and average value (frozen fish and chips, children's hamburger smeared with mustard?!).

We ate outside in the covered and protected patio as it was early April. The first night my daughter and I had the burger. I cannot say enough words to communicate how good it was! The meat was super fresh and light and the bun to die for! It was delicious!!! The second night, my daughter had the burger again, and I had a ginger chicken stir fry. There was so much ginger in that dish, and I LOOOVE ginger! Sooo good! The wait staff were attentive but not overly friendly. It was also really quiet as it was not in season and we arrived around 6:30.

There are so many places along the marina but this was a good choice. Be careful. Everything is expensive here on Cap Ferrat

You cannot go wrong at "Le Pirate" for one simple reason: they do not make what they are not confident they can do well! This is to me the mark of a serious and professional "restaurater", and a rare occurrence in the area... Even so, the menu is far from reduced: meat or fish (and inviting entrées), they are equally good and offering is varied. As to the dessert, the crème brûlée has been a favourite of mine for years. Good choice of wine, personally selected by the manager (ask for the locally sourced organic/bio white wine!). Finally, on the prices. This is a place you can go and bring your parents without them thinking you have become a millionaire (or robbed a bank): honest "à la carte" prices and a fixed price menu full of choices for even more.
