We visit this part of the world at least once a year and have always wanted to stay at this hotel, having stayed in many smaller hotels in Beaulieu sur Mer (although this one is literally on the border of Beaulieu and St. Jean Cap Ferrat. So we turned up and the concierge took our car to the car park immediately with a smile. The reception check in was pleasant and extremely friendly. We were shown around and it was small, tidy, clean and we were looking forward to our stay. Our room was minuscule - the bed we were reassured was small because it was a 'French Double'. In order to upgrade to a bigger bed we would have to pay considerably more for the week, we decided we'd spoon for the extra €1,000;/ This was the only downside apart from a tiny gym room (1 x running machine, 1 x cross trainer, 1 x multi gym) + steam & sauna. The staff were superbly nice totally without pretentiousness as can appear in quality Mediterranean hotels (mainly Italy). Everything was done with a smile and a friendly chat. The pool area was excellent, again the bar staff and pool attendant were excellent with impeccable English much to my chagrin wanting to speak French. Breakfast great, although we liked a coffee in our room (lacking tea making facilities - probably because of lack of room). Bar was small but served all the relevant drinks/cocktails. The location - CANNOT FAULT - completely idyllic. All in all would definitely stay there again but would probably upgrade to a bigger room with a bigger bed. Bare in mind all this is expensive but then again, one doesn't holiday in Cote d'Azur if you're short of a bob or two (as it were), so be warned about having deep pockets. Thank you for making our stay very pleasant.
