Despite my declaration that I might not return to this hotel, we were back for our first night (two rooms) in the area, following a late evening flight. So, why did we return? Primarily, the airport shuttle is very convenient and avoids the hassle of having to catch a late night bus from the airport into Nice or staying at one of the not very exciting airport hotels that are on offer. Check in was smooth and my Priority Club Platinum status was rewarded with upgrades to sea facing rooms - a gesture which was appreciated. We didn't take breakfast this time as we have been underwhelmed by the offering in the past, considering it is 18 euros per person. However, when you start to add up the cost of individual breakfast items elsewhere,18 euros isn't too bad provided you eat a lot to make it worth it! Service at the bar was ok. The air con (as expected) could not be switched on in our bedrooms as it wasn't the summer season yet. However, had it been the summer season and the air con was in full operation, it wouldn't have made much difference due to the archaic system which is in dire need of replacement.
Generally a pleasant stay in a very quiet room with superb views towards Cap d'Antibes. I feel that this hotel is making lots of effort to hit the spot again with a rolling programme of refurbishment. It has now removed its 'Resort' status and trades more as an airport hotel. However, it is much more than that (confirmed by its tariffs) as it is within easy reach of a lovely promenade with lots of decent restaurants. What it really needs to do now is to install leisure facilities - a small pool, jacuzzi etc. It felt good to be back!

Room Tip: Sea/garden facing, if you can afford it.

Easter break with our family of 4 plus parents in law for 5 nights in 2 rooms.
Free Airport Shuttle was very efficient and was with us within 15 minutes of contact. Easy check in with all staff speaking clear English. Both rooms were on the same floor and a short distance apart - very clean. Excellent location by the beach with nice promenade with loads of restaurants. Also, only a short walk away from Cap 3000 Shopping Centre.
First night in the rooms was far too hot for a East Midlands family used to colder climate !. Air Conditioning not switched on. We raised this with Reception the next day and they were very apologetic as we were between seasons and this was outside of their control. They offered fans for each room which were delivered within 10 minutes and did help.
We had breakfast each morning - good selection to suit all tastes. Friendly polite staff.
We are "novices" when it comes to travelling around the Cote D'Azur so we asked at reception re bus services and trains. Very Helpful - pointed us in the right direction for both bus and train and we had three very enjoyable days out in Nice, Monaco and Villefranche.

Positives - Hotel was very clean, staff always polite & attentive, rooms comfortable and of a decent size. Resort good, transport to other towns easy

Negatives - Aircon not switched on (although the Reception Manager was very sympathetic and provided fans)

ok, first the good points, free airport shuttle which you can call on the free phone from the airport, there in less than 10 minutes. Check in, friendly and efficient. Good location, next to the beach and a short walk to the Cap3000 shopping centre, lot's of nearby restaurants.
The bad.. Wi-Fi! awful, was here for 5 days using the conference facilities, painful trying to work, connection was terrible, kept dropping off, then connected but didn't run, hideously slow. Breakfast average, was asked if i wanted coffee one morning, it never arrived. choice was limited, after 2 breakfasts i didn't bother again. The bar, flat beer one night, luckily it was "happy hour" so only 4.50 Euro for a flat beer, bar man was busy doing other things and kept disappearing.
Room nothing more than average, broken tile on balcony, hot water took 10 minutes in the morning for the shower.. TV grim selection of English news channels.. poor positioning of the few available power points, no bedside reading lamps.
Bed was comfortable.
Requested a high floor away from elevator on my IHG reservation, got 3rd floor right next to the elevator.
would i stay here again? not if i was booking and paying.
It's not awful (if you don't want Wi-Fi. But mediocre at best.

Room Tip: doesnt matter... obviosly a sea view, rather than the car park entry view. ask for high floor away f...

A pretty good hotel at the corner of Cap 3000 shopping center in the small Nice suburb.
Rooms are 3 star. Hotel facilities nearer 4.
Modern hotel right by the beach with Pool and lots of Free Coffee and Water plus Wifi.
On a slightly negative note....
Rooms are a bit stuffy in the day and the air con is inadequate.
And only 1 English speaking TV channel out of 50! Come on Novotel.....sort that one.
The charming walk down the harbour side is delightful, but please note some of the restaurants are closed Nov-May.
Really nice area.

We choose to stay at Saint Laurent Du Var because friends from Canada where staying near by. We have stayed at Holiday Inn’s before and just choose this one for no other reason than it was not too far from where our friend were and at a far better price. What a great choice, the free shuttle from the airport was a little longer than I was told and I had to ring a second time. When it came the driver a lovely man and was very apologetic. After the short journey we were met at reception by Jean Philippe Gasteau who checked us in. He asked me if I had a IHG rewards Club card, whilst I have been a member for a while and often stay at IHG hotels this is the first time I have been asked, so I thought this was extremely effecient of him. We had arrived early and our room was not ready so he took my cell phone number. We walked out of the hotel on to the promenade which had a wonderful choice of restaurants. While we where having lunch he rang to say our room was ready. Before we went to the room it was pointed out with an apology that the wall paper was tiered and that it was to have maker over after we left. (We so decorators on the landing when we left) When we so the view from the room on the 5th floor front facing. Anyone preferring to look at a piece of peeling wall paper would have had nothing better to do. The room was lovely with large balcony. We go on cruises two or three times a year and the view was like being on a cruise ship. Nothing for everyone can be perfect my partner thought the breakfast was just to her taste, we only had one because although nothing wrong with it was not to mine. I book tours for groups and wish I could find the perfect destination and hotel for every one.
All I can say is I will be retuning to this hotel again and will recommend it to my friend and colleagues

My family and I drove down to Nice for a weekend and we had a great time at the Holiday Inn Resort. My son was just 4 months old at the time and the hotel had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (crib, kettle, we also had the assistance from the kitchen staff and used the microwave etc.).
The whole staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, organized and we had a great view - there was plenty of space, for two beds, the crib and more. We also used the underground parking next to the hotel - although there is no direct access to the hotel elevators, it's very, very close.
The only bad experience we had was calling room service for an unplanned dinner on Sunday night, but the kitchen was partially closed and they didn't have any of the items in the menu - just plates of cold cuts.
Besides this point, we had a great time and we would definitely return.
