It has all been said before on Tripadvisor, but it certainly is all true - this is a most well run hotel, presided over by Victorie - who is extremely professional.
Our room was as we requested, on the ground floor. We would have liked an upstairs room with a view, but alas the hotel does not have an elevator, and we had heavy baggage.
The room was large, beautifully clean, with a large terrace. Bed was king size and very comfortable with good airconditioning and an up-to-the-minute bathroom.
French breakfast on the terrace in the sun was such a pleasure.
There is parking on-site for an extra charge, but well worth having the vehicle behind locked gates.
The hotel boasts fingerprint recognition for the front door and also for the carpark - very innovative and not something we have experienced previously.
There are many fantastic restaurants nearby - we recommend Mamma Mia which is up the hill and around to the left (turn left at the icecream van) The seafood risotto was wonderful.
All in all, a wonderful stay and one we hope we can repeat in the future.
It has been mentioned in other postings, but you certainly need a GPS to find the hotel - it is tucked away off the street in a small alleyway - however because of it its situation it is very quiet.

Room Tip: If you have heavy baggage, ask for the ground floor - think there are five rooms.

On a recent trip to Italy and France we had one night in Saint Maxime for the purpose of doing a day trip to St. Tropez. We arrived in St. Maxime and were pleasantly surprised, this little coastal town is absolutely beautiful and a destination in it's own right. We found our hotel and as the gate was opened for us, we had a carpark for our stay and were allowed to leave the car the next day for our day trip to St. Tropez. Every now and then you come across a hotel that ticks all the boxes and this is one of them, the rooms are large and modern, great shower and super comfortable beds with beautiful linen. The owner only arrived whilst we were having breakfast but the girl who greeted us and made breakfast (I'm sorry I forgot her Name) was charming and very helpful. It felt more like sharing someones home than a hotel, the owner of the hotel personally greeted everyone at breakfast and we felt very welcome. The ferry to St Tropez leaves from the wharf just across the road and only takes 15 min, there are dozens of great restaurants all within walking distance, we wished we had more nights here. St. Maxime is the best location for day trips to St. Tropez and Hotel Royal Bon Repos is one of the best hotels on our trip, we highly recommend it.

Room Tip: I think all rooms a equal in size and quality.

We selected this hotel after reading Trip Advisor reviews. We were not disappointed. It is indeed a bit difficult to find but that turned out to be a blessing because it was a quiet and discreet location. It is also within a stone's throw of half a dozen excellent eating places. The owner of this hotel was very helpful to make us welcome and provided very good advice on where to shop and dine. We tried most of them and she was absolutely right. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean. It was also interesting to note that this was one of the most high tech hotels we have ever stayed in. A scanned finger print opened doors and parking gates without the need for keys or codes.

Room Tip: If you have a lot of baggage take a ground floor room. The patio is large and no lifting required.

There's no way you can get anything better than this for a three-star hotel in the French Riviera. The location is perfect, literally in the heart of St Maxime, surrounded by beautiful, excellent restaurants, a block from the ocean and a short drive from St Tropez. The hotel itself is a beautiful place, elegantly decorated and very well maintained. The breakfast is excellent with high quality products. My room had two balconies with spectacular views, both overlooking the St Tropez Gulf and the village. But without a doubt the best thing about this hotel is Virgine, the owner who will make sure that you feel like home during your stay. She definitely made the difference and I can't wait until I can go back to this place, hopefully sometime soon!

We went to this hotel because it has a high ranking. It deserves the high ranking because it's a very nice hotel with a nice owner and staff. The rooms are nice with salon-style seats on the balcony. Hi quality in the bathroom and everything was clean. The dressing is too smaal (only 2-3 shelfs to put cloths). The bed is comfortable, but you hear what the neighbours say, and we were put next to a room with a cry baby, even if the hotel wasn't fully booked. We had a side room with a view from the balcony on a huge appartement building and the parking behind it. A pity again, since we booked a room with sea view, and we only saw the sea between the buildings from the side. I would go to the hotel again, but I would contact the owner to get a front room as a condition to book.

Room Tip: front room for sun and sea view.

we planed our wedding tour to this charming hotel this summer but unfortunately could not make our trip this season. But we wait with impatience to stay in hotel where the owner is Virginie! She is really the most attentive to clients hotelier we 've seen! As experienced travellers we highly recommend this hotel as you will recieve all services in very decent level! This hotel is amazing! Great prices, location, and food. Lot so do in this city that has recovered from political upheaval in the recent past. The locals are super friendly and truly a joy. Go to this city and stay in this hotel!
