We are always slightly apprehensive when booking a hotel that has as good reviews as Le Hameau. In this case we were not disappointed. The Hotel is as pretty as its pictures, lots of Bouganvillia, Vines and fruit trees. The staff were extremist welcoming and helpful throughout our four night stay. A nice touch was a pair of scissors inviting Guests to cut themselves a bunch of grapes from the vines which formed a passage leading up to the main buildings.
Breakfast (15 Euros) was served on the Terrace from 8.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. which made for a very relaxing morning. A comprehensive buffet which included two hot egg dishes, saw us through most of the day. The home made Marmalade (using oranges grown on the premises) was delicious - a pot came home with us at the end of our stay.
The Hotel is a 10 minute walk from St. Paul de Vence, extremely convenient for sightseeing and dinner. Drinks and light snacks were reasonably priced - a glass of wine was 4 Euros.
We would certainly stay here agin if revisiting the area.More
