We recently returned from a five night stay at Toile Blanche. It is a serene experience. Caroline and her family are the most wonderful hosts, attentive but discrete. The location is stunning and so relaxing. We arrived late in the evening after getting lost in our hire car. Caroline intuitively booked a restaurant in the village and a taxi without us asking! This set the tone for our stay. All of the restaurant recommendations we received from the family were amazing, particularly Alain Llorca. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It was a delight to stay here.

Toile Blanche is located just outside the old village of St. Paul de Vence, an arts Mecca in Europe. We stayed in September, just past peak season. This sophisticated bed and breakfast is owned and managed by the Leroy family, who hail from Belgium and bring the warmth of their nation with them. Among the family are the Leroy Brothers, the three sons, all artists who work collectively. Their art decorates the property, and we were fortunate to visit during their show at the renowned Guy Pieter Gallery in St. Paul de Vence during our stay.

The restaurant at Toile Blanche closes for the season on September 15th, so we were able to enjoy it on its closing night only, but the food was lovely and very sensitively prepared. We found ourselves wishing we'd arrived earlier in the month!

There are 6 rooms only at Toile Blanche, so this is an intimate experience, not for those who prefer large, full service hotels. We stayed in Room 6, the farthest of 3 newly constructed rooms. It was comfortable, quiet and spacious, with a private terrace and an enchanting view.

Caroline Leroy, the daughter in law of owners Daniel and Nadine, manages the hotel business. She was thoroughly delightful--a kind and lovely woman who was helpful in any and every way.

Room Tip: Room 6 is private and very quiet with a large soaking tub.

Or this is how I would describe TOILE BLANCHE after a stay of 4 nights.

The location is idyllic: quiet, green surroundings, but still close to some great villages. The hotel itself is just perfect: nice clean rooms, a fabulous terrace where you can have a great long breakfast in a beautiful setting and very comfortable sunbeds near the swimming pool. Really everything you need for a relaxing couple of days in the sun.

But most remarkable is the fantastic hospitality, from the warm welcome to the personal approach by the family Leroy-Morel every minute of the day, fulfilling all our needs.

These 5 days totally exceeded our expectations - we will certainly come back and I can only recommend this as a small paradise to anybody!

I'm not n easy "posting" man in such websites, but this venue diserves it. Starting with a great venue, with only 6 very nice and cosy rooms, maaking this hotel a very personal one. The pool is perfect, and sunbathing in the great outdoor beds will make leaving in a few days very difficult. The terras with great views on the pool and a background with the tipical little towns makes you, in combination with a very good, fresh and including all the needed ingredients, starting the day at 200%.
The very personal way of the family Leroy-Morel of managing this pearl makes your stay 1 of 1000.
I'll be back with my family soon!!!!! Finding again what I need in a holiday.
But it will be in the summer seizoen to also test the bistronomique restaurant.........
Enjoy to all coming here.

We went to Toile Blanche and I must say we're very sorry to be back in England. We already mis it. We had a great time. We stayed in Room 5 which was completely as we had hoped! A big terrace which is important for us . A very beautiful room , and all as it should be . We had clean towels every day, the room was very clean, fresh free bottles of water every day, cookies.... Breakfast was very good, fresh fruit every day, cheeses from the mountains.... The hosts were very kind, and they made us feel like home. The weather was great and so what can you desire more when you are used to rain .... The family had 3 sons who are in the art business, and I must admit , they are very successful !! Any way we can't wait to get back to this little piece of Paradise !!

Room Tip: Room 5 !!

We stayed at Toile Blanche for a blissful four day honeymoon in August, and we can honestly say it totally exceeded our expectations. Our room was clean, stylish, private, the bed was supremely comfortable. The hotel is unassuming and allows the stunning setting to shine. It is a family run, family home. The brother's art hangs on the walls and makes for interesting visual experience at every turn. The family are friendly and welcoming and made us feel as if we were staying with friends. The food was superb and served at a relaxed pace that suited us well. We were looking for a peaceful, romantic getaway and Toile Blanche offers just the right amount of privacy while being looked after when it's wanted.
On the one day we wanted to go for a little adventure, we found St Paul-de-Vence a 20 minute stroll (uphill - although only 10 minutes downhill on the way back!) where we found a beautiful medieval town inhabited by artists and their work, along with a lovely restaurant recommended and booked for us by our hosts.
We were sad to leave such unpretentious luxury and will definitely return one day. As we arrived at Nice airport we realised we'd left behind a much treasured hat. When we phoned to ask them to post it on to us they immediately jumped in the car and drove it to the airport before our flight left, which was the icing on the cake of a perfect stay.

My fiance and I spent 3 nights at Toile Blanche and absolutely loved it. The fact that it's a boutique hotel with very few rooms means it's very peaceful, and you feel you have a lot of space and privacy. The pool is amazing, and the sunbeds are wonderful. Everything at this hotel is slick. I absolutely LOVED the bed in the room - it was amazingly comfortable and huge. The rest of the room was well-appointed, modern, big bathroom with bath and shower. We had a private terrace / balcony which was very private and not overlooked at all. We used the mini bar fridge to keep sandwiches cold so we could stay by the pool all day and eat on the terrace which was great. The hotel is really close to St Paul de Vence which has some great restaurants, and is extremely picturesque.
Finally, even though this feels like a very slick boutique hotel, it is family run by a family who clearly have great passion for the hotel and what they want it to be.
Only criticism is that breakfast wasn't included in the rate, which is already quite expensive, and I'd say breakfast is overpriced, but I assume you can opt out of breakfast and pop up to St Paul for a croissant, which is what I'd do in future.
